The Lieutenant count on the job right now is 1,616 and 59 of them are on terminal.

We are headed towards having the lowest amount of Lts on the job in recent memory. Heres a picture of how it looked the last few years.

Today - 1,616
7/16/2025 - 1,802
7/16/2024 - 2,012
7/16/2023 - 2,141
7/16/2022 - 2,291
7/16/2021 - 2,431

When the 59 on Terminal leave within their 30 days, well have 1,557 Lts on the job.

This isnt counting the 600 plus who can retire immediately, nor the 100 or so that remain on the Captains list.

The job needs Lts more then ever before.

Put classes in accordingly.
