The positive to all this is that atleast Lts are being put in. Last year there were a few classes of 0 lts. Few buddies of mine stated that class sizes will increase in the coming months.
Didnt they promote like 100 sergeants in a class right before the 2017 lieutenant exam? Wander if theyll do something similar for the Captain exam. This added more candidates, but how do you prepare if you dont think youll be promoted by then.
I could see them doing a real big September class like that. The problem is between June July and August there is no way they are doing anything too substantial. Need too many cops and bosses on the street then. So a massive September class will just make up for the slow summer.

Going to be honest with you, i get the positivity but reaching back to 2017 is a bit of a stretch.
More reasonable to go back to 2022 when about 100+ Lts were left without a shot to take the 2022 Captains test.
Maybe they didnt need more then the 1,000+ who had already made Lt to sign up, but I think if it was something they made a
priority or even seriously looked at they would have pushed through those last 100 or so. But who knows, maybe your right and
this time they wont have enough signups so theyll push people through.

Definitely see your point, just wandering if putting in one big class before the test could happen. Im sure many paid for a course by now, with these small classes its just a matter of how hard can you go if youre in that maybe yes very possibly no scenario.

Thats a good question that should be answered because this does affect peoples careers. Dont tell us how many are going in the next class, but atleast let people know what number will be reached before the exam.

I agree, the job needs to put a number on what list number will be reached before exam day, so that their employees can plan accordingly. Instead we have to guess and pray to get reached before the exam time comes.
I feel confident about a June class, but as weve seen the last few months is anyones guess until the very end. We can just hope they end this 10 a month nonsense.
