Nope they fall under the new contract. contract was ratified. anyone promoted after dec 10,2024 falls under new contract.

there was a class in march or April I believe 2025 and they went to top pay. So thats why I was asking cause contract says December 2024 but they got promoted in 2025 and are still top pay

Only thing I could maybe think is since the contract wasnt finalized or even talked about in january when they put that class of 50 in ?
So idk if this means anything but the dept intranet (go to bureaus on the top -> dc labor relation then documents) finally has our pay scale updated as of 5/29. It shows when the document was uploaded
Hopefully we can get some concrete answers by tomorrow. Some people are saying the Sgt class of 25 that just went in are going to top pay and some saying their not

That class is already at top pay. That salary chart would give them a salary reduction. They will go to the new top pay based off the % raises.
Of course youll go to top pay at this moment, once the new pay rate gets stipulated all those promoted after December 10, 2024 will go to step 4 And those before will go to step 6. But will wait till things get clarify since the SBA hasnt said anything since the ratification.

The class from January is top pay step 6. They will not go down to step 4 on the new contract. Cannot decrease steps. Contract wasnt ratified till may. They stay top pay

The class that was promoted in January will stay at top pay.. you cant take a pay cut. Step 4 is 115, theyre currently making 118. Theres really no clarification needed from the sba on that.
Ask yourself what pay are the new sgts going to go to? The answer is most likely 118 top pay. If that's the case then they will stay at top pay. The other scales haven't been established yet so this is the only way it can work. Most likely why the class is so small
