If the job is suppose to have 1794 LT like someone else posted according to NYPD 360 theyre are currently 1715 LT with 30 more on terminal. That would bring the total to 1685 so 109 vacancies including those on terminal.

200 lieutenants a year is about average historically, I believe that well surpass that number by a descent amount considering all factors involved. The job can paint wherever picture they want theres going to be a lot of gaps to fill the way things are going.
Were 17/48 months of eligible list time, 484/1218 names in. 1/3 of time past & 1/3 list made. Not sure how talk of list getting cut is even in this thread. Theyre hiring more cops which will require more supervisors. The hiring boomers are retiring. Dont forget they havent put in SGTs, so Im sure they didnt want to promote too many LTs to understaff, once SGTs promotions go up so will LTs. I truly believe we will hit the 275-300 mark for this year.
