Thats a suspiciously low amount of Lts considering the Capt and Sgt numbers you mentioned, plus the high number of Lts that put in their papers the last few weeks. Hopefully that clearance number doubles lol

All the LTs who put their papers in since January are running their time until end of February. Youll see it reflect in the March / April promotions.
I dont understand why its so hard to communicate with the members. These guys have done nothing in my book but stall for the last couple of years. Its frustrating to be a part of this process and more frustrating when there is no information being given to you. Anyone with logic can see, Vin is just dragging this out because every month that goes by, that 1200 continues to decrease and less words getting thrown in his direction. A periodic update would be great at this time. Its the least he could do. We know there isnt any negotiations on the percentages since he continuously told us they are locked in. So just inform us about the mediation dates or talks.something. Cant believe we are stuck with this leadership.
Everyone got spoiled with last years promos and the post covid retirements. Last year they promoted so many lts because very few were promoted in 2023 due to there being no list so they were catching up.
Average lt promos per year was always around 200. They aren't going to promote 400 every year. Everyone should temper expectations because you're going to drive yourself crazy.
Wasnt expecting another 400, kinda knew this already but a lot of people hitting 20, a lot of 20+ about to lose out on OT, were down 50+ already for the year. Ill worry more if March/April is small because their time runs out.

A lot of those retirements don't get reflected in the vacancies until they come off the books (which will be March/April). You guys/gals will be good, these retirements will keep rolling.
I started studying for LT as a PO. If it lines up just right youre golden but dont you think its slightly early for that? Dont want to burn yourself out.
If you will be promoted before the captains list then yeah it would be worth it if thats the route you want to take. And it doesnt hurt taking the free courses the Key or Elite are doing now even though a test is far out
Out of all three I really dont see the lieutenant list getting cut. What number do you guys think they can reach by the time the captain exam is given?
