I think once the dept goes to 12 hour tours its going to suck so bad that nearly everyone eligible to leave will retire.

Other agencies dont handle anywhere near the volume of patrol calls that we do. Everyone I have spoken to here that is doing 12 hour tours HATES it. NYC isnt like Nassau or Suffolk.

 Yeah this was like 2 weeks ago but a lot has happened in the past 7 or so days. UNGA was postponed to the last week of September instead of the usual 3rd week of Sept. I cant see them doing a promotion while UNGA is in full effect and we all know about the other stuff going on.

11 vacancies
13 terminal

Most likely 15-20 in the next class. If we go until the end of October then we are looking at 25-35

I dont see why there is a need to pause promotions that were earned from passing a promotional exam and Officers completing their 18 months investigatory track. SMH
