We won't know until the finest comes out or doesn't come out. If the promotion is scheduled for 12/22/23 then maybe the finest will drop on 12/20/2023. So only time will tell, but if the Lt list is coming out and they are promoting Lt's then they will need to continue to promote sergeants.

Why would they promote 75 sergeants if theyre promoting 75 lieutenants? Also maybe this promotion wont happen?

Its legit as of right now no Lieutenants or Sergeants for the promotion on 12/22. Just Captains

My office first but the guys I work with were wrong about the Oct class so I didnt trust it. Then it was in our group chat so I called him and he confirmed. I am willing to bet whatever you want that this information is correct. Screenshot this. I will delete my profile if Im wrong but Im not. Im not trolling. Im in the next class as long as its 50

Yea idk .they aimed for 100 but only 75 is the number .as far as the promos being canceled I did not hear that . But there are things going on downtown so it can affect promos

There will not be 35 holdovers going into this next promotion. There are currently only 34 holdovers. Two are already Sgts (#234 and #410). 12 dont yet have enough time to be promoted (hired 1/3/19 or later). I would expect 6 of the holdovers to be going in, as they have made Detective. Expect to get to number 547.

Thats what Ive been told my two reliable sources. leonel hasnt said anything about cancelation. My buddy that works in the ceremonial unit was told last night hes going to the Academy for a promotion on the 22nd at 1000HRS. This is just MY SPECULATION, why not Do it in 1PP if its just for captains. isnt the academy too big for such a small promotion?

I hateeee to be the bearer of bad news, and before anyone says anything about my lack of posts on the forum just know I made this username just to post this info. We are currently at NO sgts being promoted on 12/22 at the academy. Right now it sits at 5/6 captains, 2 Lts (possibly hold overs) detectives and discretionary promos. I dont know why, it could be the delay with the new Lt list because they want to promote both ranks, it could be budget issues. But I was told the job wants to thats where the 75 is coming from but the city isnt allowing it. So our current number is ZERO. I was also told it can change next week. So well have to wait and see but thats the most current info I have from a very reputable source in headquarters. Hopefully we see it change when Monday/Tuesday rolls aroundIm sure Lionel can and will confirm this..sorry :(

Unfortunately he or she is right. Like I mentioned before theres a lot of things going on at the palace that I will not mention so promotions can be affected . The number of 75 is what theyre aiming for but again it can change . This is why I dont post early because things go up and down . Promotions were allegedly canceled last round and I held off of mentioning anything until I got a solid answer. Like I say always be patient by next week we will all know what is really happening. Until then just take it easy everyone and dont panic. Be safe

Lets be real on a list with 4k on it. I think you will definitely make it if you are in the 2000 range I dont think they will clip 50 or 60 percent of a list. You are good.

Before the summer? You're not serious right? Do yourself a favor and check in with this forum every couple of months instead of daily. You're going to drive yourself crazy because if i had to guess you'll be waiting at the minimum 2 years considering your list position. Consider yourself lucky to be on the list at all. There is bound to be a month or two skipped here and there and/or small class size based on needs of dept. In order to get through this entire list they would've had to have been going at a rate of at least 90 per class each month and every month for 4 years straight. Best thing is to go on with your life and be surprised the day your name is on the finest message.
