Average Score

Is a hard guess obviously without all the fact, but based on what you see in your command what do you feel the average score is. just raw score obviously there s some high scores out there but this is not the norm. Just trying to get a guesstimate based on what little info we have. Theres a couple of people out there who may have an idea I believe theyre afraid to post what they know but a guesstimate is not specific enough in case they want to chime in Just a guesstimate.

Just settle down already. Not much left to wait for this list to drop. Majority is in the 60s so there you go.

I can tell you a rumor going around that came from Personnel is that supposedly the most points someone had picked up for a passing score was 15 total between the curve and Throwouts, just a rumor as I said so cannot confirm but if thats floating around then I would assume the average score is most likely in the Mid-Low 60s

15 points?  Come on now, be reasonable in giving the failures hope.

so the TVB is over then? Also- everyone keeps saying the curve is .231 pts for every wrong answer or something along those lines... a curve is based on the average score of each test, its not pre determined.

Havent heard anything about TVB but hearing something like seven answers probably out the window, off the bat, seems reasonable based on how this test was written.

Its not a curve. It's scaling, everyone just used the word curve in it's place.

I honestly don't know about that, but thats the rumor floating around I dont know if that number includes the Curve/Throw-outs/Medals-Seniority but I would assume its a total amount so it does line up with the scaling. So again just a rumor but If I hear anything more I will post

I mean, if you feel confident in this rumor then its great news for those with failing scores. Since TVB isnt even done yet, maybe the curve before throwouts is 15pts

People get caught up on the TVB not being conducted yet, and I agree that will be the final determining factor as far as throw outs. The scores and answers have been in someones hands for over four months, weve had to resort to speculation but Im sure theres bits of truth in whats being discussed in the forums. We have to wait for process to be completed to have solid answers Im confident the wait may be shorter than we think.

My boss has a friend who wrote the test. That person said there is another protest session ( not sure if they used the right phrase) next week, and list will be out in another month

At the time I took the test I worked in a command that had about 20 sgts. On test day I walked out with a 68, only 3 people got higher than me. 2 people got in the 80s, one guy got a 70 on the dot, everyone else was like 65-60

when I took the 2017 Lts exam I finished in 4 hours decided to go over my answers and changed at least 4, Im fairly sure at least one was correct. Ended up with a 69 and I figured basically a lot of the previous Lts exams if you didnt score high enough you usually died on the list anyway. Well go figure the whole list got made. Heres my second try hopefully well be pleasantly surprised when this list finally comes out.

Going based off the last two exams, Capt and Sgts. Capts took about 5 months and Sgts took about 10 months. Im going on an educated guess and say our exam will be somewhere between 6-7 months for some sort of list to finally come out.

I know the rumors say otherwise but we haven't heard anything new.

I agree they could be there at this time, the lack of info makes us simply guess at what could be going on. Were nearing 5 months I feel some info should be coming down eventually. Discussing stuff on the forum just makes the wait seem better. The test was challenging and we want to see what this l looks like. Feels like when I used to stare at that hospital entrance waiting for my relief and those midnight bastards would take forever Lol.

It really was but on the plus side the time that was spent wisely hitting the guide allowed many to be on this forum waiting for the Lts list to drop. Speaking of which Lt spot is the best for studying for the next one?

SOL wouldn't be too bad. I think platoon commander is also good if you have enough Sgts so the work can be spread out. Any other opinions ?

Admin, sol, and ico all have down time. So do platoon commanders if you have sgts.

I agree 100% platoon commander is a good gig but somehow every command is short sgts hopefully they keep that list moving, Ive seen my command having Lts doing doubles thats how short we are.  When I came on the Lt could walk on water thats how that rank was looked at. Now they have to do a lot of of Sgt Work not sure if its because of shortage or the rank has changed that much.
