Yes that and the imminent SGT contract settlement will def start boosting promos, for all ranks. I heard rumblings of a class of 100+ after the SBA settles so hopefully they promote big SGT classes and then start promoting LTs when the list gets released.

I dont think it will take that long I would assume either end of July or early August, the SBA wants those numbers and from what I heard they just need to iron out Base SGT pay and what they may have to give up to not lose chart time, SBA is very anti 12 hour Tours but I could see them giving it up to not lose chart time. The last contract they added a Pay Step to not give up chart time like the LT did for 7 years.

So at this point in time, contrary to the PBA contract where its basically guaranteed at some point, the SBA does not guarantee 12 hour tours?

Im asking out of curiosity for other people. I am taking the promotion no matter what but that is interesting

SBA doesmt want to lose chart time, LBA doesnt want to lose a part of the weekend.

Ultimately well all be 12 hours in the end.

NauseseousPBBN is right if the Job/City wants 12 hour tours we all will eventually its just a matter of what they negotiate to get for taking 12 Hour Tours

Are sgts promoted in 2019 getting adjusted to top pay from 2019 on? Cops in 2019 were at 105 while sgts were at 86. They would have to hash out $$

Yea but cops in 2021 were making more than sgts then. That means from 2021- present they would have to jump the sgts to top pay for those years

Depends on it's interpretation. You could say if they fix the sgts pay retroactively then they won't have to bump anyone's pay.

Sometimes the contract stuff is more complicated then words on a forum.
