Chief benefits?

So the CEA only covers up to 1 star chief, meaning you get no union protection past that hence why some chiefs get forced out. But what about the other stuff that comes with a union? Dental, vision, etc? Does the city provide that for them or are they on their own for that?

Lol!  This is actually one of the best and probably the funniest answers you gave on this chat.  We are Lts. Why the hell would be be worried about 2-star Chiefs issues.

Chiefs are still covered by union benefits.

I was under this impression as well. As far as I know, any rank above Captain is acting in designation, and still falls under CEA.

Only captain to a one-star chief is covered under CEA. 2 star and above are considered city managers and the city covers their benefits.

The CEA will still cover them for ccrb and legal issues.
