College degree?

Just looking for advice from current and/or future Captains.  I know a few people who have passed and are now in need of a degree.  It pretty much can be a degree in anything as long as it comes from an accredited school.  What are some schools that people have used or are using to get their degree.  Also time may be of the essence so which ones can you get the quickest most basic degree?

Forget john jay. The goal here is getting a degree quickly and at the least expensive cost from an accredited institution. Exam day I had 97 credits. 4 weeks later i had 113 credits. 4 classes shy of a degree. The traditional method of attaining a degree has become obsolete.

Step 1: apply to Excelsior.edu

Step 2 : send transcripts from the NYPD and all colleges you attended to excelsior

Step 3: wait for your credit evaluation

Step 4: review credit evaluation MAP planner.
This will tell you what classes you need

Step 5: use sophia.org a monthly based college. accredited institution to fill those classes you need based upon your MAP planner ie. Ethics, college algebra. This website allows you to take self paced classes. They are easy and there is no proctured exam. Understand these are only Lower level college courses. I finished 5 classes in close to 3 weeks and then cancelled my subscription once my transcript was updated.

Step 6: use study.com or coopersmith career consulting to fill other requirements....speak to your counselor before buying from websites and Confirm the class will fit the requirement.

Step 7: you are only obligated to finish 3 classes at excelsior. Doing this will drastically reduce the cost and save you a significant amount of time.

Any questions PM me.

Use this as a guide to help you get that inexpensive degree. This is for a bachelors of science in liberal arts. If anyone needs a different degree program PM me.
