As per Leslie if you want one point you gotta be on point I hope you get my point at some point you will all get promoted so theres no point making a big deal out of this
No one on this forum can factually answer that. Its a wait and see game at this point. As long as there is no established list then anything is still possible.
if this person got a letter to verify disabled vet points he passed they just didnt update his score. and the disabled vet points are 5 full points- regular vet 2.5 points. i went today to verify vet stuff and the job is calling for list at end of december the dcas investigator told me this all today its no secret. they wanna promote 30-40 off bat. and they told dcas that too- again no secret

1000000% CORRECT! its over folks. Congratulations to all that passed the HARDEST Captains exam ever given. The 2017 exam was a joke. Just look at the executives around you that passed SMH

Which is exactly on par for what I said. The scores posted on the dashboard are not adjusted yet . This person they are speaking of is showing a 68 on DCAS dashboard. Your saying he passed if going to verify military points. If you are correct, this would mean scores on the DCAS dashboard are not adjusted to finalized yet.

Agreed. Those are your RAW SCORE ! Thats it ! When list comes out, it will show your FINAL ADJUSTED SCORE!
The guys who failed the test could have easily brought a civil suit, especially those who barely did. There was an argument to be made on the merit that there was an unfair advantage for being subject to different versions of the exam. The city should have offered some type of remedy to level the perceived imbalance. I am just saying.

Is there any precedent for anybody taking 3 military exams? There's an IAB lt whose taking this test as a makeup and he took sgt and Lt as a makeup. He was not overseas or anything he was doing stateside training. I don't think this is fair.

Unfortunately military is military. Federal law allows him to take a make up even if hes a weekend warrior
If theres 200+ on the list wouldnt this be the second largest list in history? How does that equate to the hardest exam ever given?
Hearing list is barely 200
A little over 200 passed the day of the exam. After the makeup exam and throwouts, Id estimate the addition of 30ish names. List will be around 250 names give or take.
Have him get as much info as possible!! If he really did pass and its just not adjusted yet on DCAS thats good news for us people hovering around that 70 mark.
Lt4life. If the news you are waiting for us to see a 70 for captain exam it be terrible news for you bc you would have to change your rising star user name :)
So what else could that mean other than successfully protested questions have not been applied to our scores yet on the dashboard? Obviously DCAS has the fully adjusted scores but have yet to post them.
if he is verifying his veteran points at DCAS and he got a 68 then he got two points. No one who is verifying points failed the DCAS investigator told me this when i went scroll back i answered this
its an assumption on my part. Thats what I think would currently make sense if they actually notified someone who score 68 to verify military points. I believe someone here confirmed that he passed.
Some people had their score adjusted and other people didnt yet. Maybe, they applied a curve. It is all a guessing game now.
Is this an assumption? Anyone know for sure??
I think an assumption at this point, but they only verify points for military passing grades this is a fact. Remember they applied a curve to exams after the big law suit so not a reach to think they did the same here.
But wouldn't a curve be applied to everyone's grade? I don't think a curve occurred in this case. Maybe DCAS messed up (shocker) and didn't update his raw score, but I can't see them updating some scores but not others, that would be grounds for a lawsuit.

Maybe they had a curve that applied to everyone. Its just not published yet. Like you said, maybe, DCAS messed up and failed to update that gentlemans score on their site. Im also curious if he took the test on the same day we took it.
He took the test the same day most of us took it Aug16th. He had the morning session. I thought I read somewhere on here that there was one throw out in the AM session and 2 in the afternoon. If that's the case then there's no possible way he would have picked up 2 points. We will have to wait and see.

It is a very interesting situation. We shall find out soon.

They possibly updated throw out and double answers but did not account for the curve online. Again all speculation no facts, well find out soon
