I got this info from someone in 1pp. Apparently they are aiming for a class late May early June then no more classes till sept. Its early so I guess we have to take it with a grain of salt. I should be in the next class so trust me. I want a class just as bad as most ppl here. Lets hope for the best

Curious if anyone has gotten anything further. I kinda feel that if we dont have numbers by end of business today then this will fall flat. Usually theres always a number or a tight number range set the weekend prior. Just my two cents.

Im being serious apparently promos are happening for LT/Cap but no SGT i heard this few days ago just wanted to confirm before I posted and Im not the only one here hearing this Adams does not want cops off the street so IDk anymore lol I give up. Wish I had better news. Hoping @truthseeker or @IamtheLaw can confirm? Or tell me Im wrong? I would be very happy to be wrong.

I guess it doesnt really matter considering were not getting touched this time around. its wild theyre holding out with the amount of vacancies and even more with how much the Lt promotions will generate. Theres a recruit class graduating June I believe. Hopefully the department will promote then, but with the violent summer on the horizon I dont see that happening.

More work for current supervisors in patrol commands with this deficit. Just to get an idea are youre commands short sgts ? Mine is short about 5 patrol sgts combining all platoons.

Its not more work really. Its a promo from supervisor to supervisor. The allocations of supervisors dont change sgt to LT. Po to sgt changes personnel needs. The Dept and city is trying to prevent the depletion of the PO rank.

they have midnight platoons doing 4 hrs pre tour every night. Id argue that the department as a whole is spread thin. No ones taking the job. ppl are running out the door. This is going to be quite the summer Imo.

Well yeah that was part of Adams plan to fight crime. Starting some midnights early to help 4x & cover the tour change. Good, ppl should leave this department if they can. Scared many away with this bullshit vaccine mandate. City did it to themselves. Adams isnt even running the PD, Banks is.

I mean depends where you are. If you have the luxury of doing nothing. If youre 300 names away, and u stopped working, good luck if u dont get called. Giving zeros isnt good look for CO or a unit you want to put in for.
