My guess , strictly a guess would be Monday. But my gut says no because of the LOD funeral on Wednesday. So its gonna be when is the best time, and I dont think anyone has that answer.

Thursday is to late. Lieutenants need to get ID pictures. I think it drops Wednesday evening after the funeral.

Geez lol. Based on # of people resigned/retired in the next 200 names, there's a higher than 0% chance I would be the first person not promoted. That would really suck, especially if they wait a while for the next class after putting in so many.

Hope so too lol if the class is 240 i would 100% be in next class no matter the size so see what happens hoping to start prepping for the next LT test Key jus announced their classes begin in July and they think either end of 2022 or early 2023 for the test

right before the last LT test they were blowing through the list promoting big classes seemingly every month, i remember POs in the LT prep classes studying. hopefully we see a repeat of that

Yea i think by Summer time everyone should have an idea of if they are finishing the list. I would think if they are floating around 2400-2500 before August then i would say the whole list is getting made and if the Lt test is announced for January and February thats a good indication since it would be after this list would be exhausted either way.

I dont think the next class is going to be 240. I think they cleared 240 and you should expect 200-240 to be promoted most likely in the next 2 classes. Either way still good news if It occurs.

Get ready for lots of Sgts leaving. Mayor terminating those unvaccinated and on unpaid leave by Feb 11. Religious exemptions are to follow. I guess a thank you for 2 cops we lost.

Does this worry anyone else? I get it SGTs will retire and they need to fill those spots.but cops are retiring aswell. My mind instantly goes to they are going to slow down promotion numbers because they will Have a mad exodus of cops

I am a little worried about the effects of a mass exodus. Theres already a shortage of cops, but theres also a shortage of Sgts too. So I guess it depends on how balanced of a mix among ranks the mass exodus is. However, I would like to think this job is prepared for such a contingency prior to making that announcement about vax terminations. Im really curious to see if they put in a huge recruit class in the next few months, that could also be a good sign for Sgt promotions.

I'm not super worried about that because there is a finite number of people who can become sergeants. You can always hire more cops, even if the # of people applying is lower than it has been historically. You can only make 700 more sergeants. They can backfill our vacancies when we get promoted.
