what happens if you are away AVP on promotion day? Do you have to wait on the following promotion or you go on a different date to get your shield?

This happened to me during the last promo. Luckily it was a "staycation". I had to end my vacation early. There was no way I was going to risk it.

I dont remember a finest ever dropping a whole 7 days before a promo. I could be wrong ... but doubt it.

I believe Last time finest dropped March 11 and promotion was March 18...

My gut is telling me no class. Basically what I have is two very different stories. One from. Very close bureau chief is no promotions for some time. But another from personnel stating trying for class end of the month. Fact of no confirmation right now makes me uneasy about a class. But I have been wrong before so I hope it pans out

Anything is possible. Usually when there is no confirmation it means no class. Now to be fair there have been times when I didnt have confirmation and a class ended up going in but thats usually Bc a decision was made more last minute. Again Im not the end all be all and when I dont have solid info I dont like to post it. But I try to keep everyone in know from what I hear but its brutal being wrong here. I dont like the wish washy info so my gut saids no class but Im hoping Im wrong

I take truths word since hes always been on point but im also curious where the other guy heard 75 and a finest coming down today for the 28th. That would match up with the end of the month rumor. For me personally if there is no finest today im done on banking on any class until september. So see you guys at 6pm, no finest or finest.

I got my information from a Sgt that work in the promotion unit who told me promotion was tentatively May 28 and when I ask how many he said 75 Sgt 40 Lt .. i never post before because I always follow truthseeker as well..

I never said no to it. But there are usually ppl that I deal with that get notified for the promotion. No such notification was made. As o said personnel does want a promo 5/28. But as of yesterday it was not confirmed

I heard class on 28th, probably from same office truth is hearing it, however what he said is spot on as usual. Until a finest comes down we dont know. Chiefs are generally aware of these things so if they say no, then usually they are right. We will find out by Wednesday. I also think the June 30 date is scary for the job because it is still unknown how many people are going to retire and the potential is A LOT. To keep the riot overtime, you need to retire by then. I will say this, if this class goes in, unfortunately it will probably be the last one until close to October at the earliest.

Thank you for the update . Only disagreement is the June 30 date. In order for last Junes OT to count, those potential retirees must leave by May 31st actually. Its already happening in my office. Guys saw their numbers and were told projections of how much longer theyd have to stay to POTENTIALLY make the same if they stay on.

The riots started may 28th and ended first week of june but the field forces continued for a while, so some could get away with leaving in june. You are right though, it depends when you stopped making OT.

Last day for finest for May 28 promotoon. If no finest today we have to forget about promotion for next 4/5 months probably until we have a new mayor and the crazy and bloody summer is over.

When you say the budget was approved do you mean for just the next class or for multiple future classes. Its crazy how low on bosses we are and there is no promotions planned.

Civilian titles promotional pay upgrade approved to start effective June 7th. Which means the noise about no class for 4 months is false. Anticipate within the next 2 weeks.
