No, because no BMOC has overlapped. All promotions have been after previous BMOC was over and bmocs have been 3.5-4 weeks. This BMOC will start monday and finish out February. So first or second week in March is most likely, if there is a promotion that is.

Nov 24 promo- Dec 16 commands
Dec 22 promo- January 18 commands
January 29 promo- ???commands

Would be shocked if there was an additional promo in February.

1/29 promo is a January promotion is what Im saying. So an end of February promotion would be a February promotion. Not speaking on BMOCs. If there is one in February, it would be end of February just like all the other promotions.

Yes bmocs have overlapped in the past, Im just talking about the recent classes. Plus with covid and social distancing and keeping numbers low at the academy i would doubt they would overlap at this moment.

I know that all the fio/ intell officers are making 18 month in March they have to be promoted to detective. I do believe there will be promotions in March just don't know if any sergeants are going in.

Personnel order given out said we are assigned to Uniformed promotion unit to 2/24. Usually seems people are at the commands before that though.

Sgts will get their commands before 2/24. FIOs who hit their 18 month dont need to be promoted at that time. They can be promoted later with the effective date of the 18 month date in March. i.e promoted April 15 effective March 3. They will just give them retro pay.

I think they will clear the list, and if they have to over hire towards the end, they will. When a new Sgt's list comes out, they may just keep it available for a while without putting in a class until vacancies are open. When a list comes out the clock doesnt start ticking for expiration until the first class is put in anyway. Dont think they want to cut a list short at 2300 or 2400 and have to deal with lawsuits or what not.

We are officially just past the 3yr mark. Seems like this will be a 5yr list. I always said 1800-2k seemed safe with 4yr frame. I think the odds of clearing the list is attainable.

Nothing from bmoc about another class. LT from ops said next year sgt and LT test will be given. Nothing else. Sorry. Bmoc was extended to the 25 instead of 24

Stupid question but what happens if you get called for BMOC while on vacation? Do just have to bite the bullet and come in? (I definitely would but would like to hear from anybody that knows)
With the timing of these recent BMOCS it could be a possibility for me.

Technically, you get promoted upfront so your vacation isnt guaranteed after that, but they will work with you. There is a certain amount of days you need to graduate though, otherwise you will have to come back to the next one. Basically unless you have a $5000 vacation booked just come in and repick a week at your new command or just save the days.
