Rumor from the sba at BMOC. Next month another 100 and change promotions for police officers to Sgts and another 600 recruits

Number for recruits is 1100 and was told they are shooting for 100 to 145 sgts. It's a big gap. Things change like people say by the minute. But that's what I was told. I was also told that LTs are looking good for Promos to, but Sgt's are what's most concrete at this point.

If the dept does more than 142 it'd be amazing. Such an oddball number and all of their oddball promo numbers make no sense. Not 140, not 145, not 150 but 142. Weird. Oh well hopefully we would hear more next week!

Last promotion that went in they made 55 Lt and 142 sgt. Theres no correlation.

I heard there is gonna be a class, itll be no less than 75 and by the end of the week they will have a number. My source is a guy at the police academy. Hasnt been wrong yet

Didn't hear an actual number, but I heard upfront promotion to Sgt on Dec 22. BMOC is on the 23rd. This was a source in the academy, has been pretty reliable, although as we all know these things change day to day.

A friend of mine who is in right now said it's gonna be 60 sergeants for 12/22.

50 lts and 60 sgts? That makes no sense. Then youre in essence only promoting 10 sgts. Either the lt number will be lower or the sgt number will be higher in my opinion. At the end of the day, I guess they can do whatever they want.

I did hear numbers will mirror last months. So possibly well over 100 sgts

There are different rumors going around. Heard from bmoc instructor that he is hearing rumor that the number is similar to this class.
@truthseeker can you help confirm anything yet?

So what youre telling me is that for the last 2 months of 2020 we got 200 promotions and a list extension? Ill take it. Im still waiting to hear from my guy at the academy. Keep in mind that once those 900 new recruits get sworn in itll push promotions again. So just hang in there

The recruit class I believe was cut down for budget issues. Think 550ish now going in w possibly another class to follow in next months.
