Not to discount your intel, but a friend in BMOC said he said no such thing- at least not to the group (maybe someone asked privately?). Either way, the numbers definitely are there. More of those terminals will turn over by the end of May, too.

My guy spoke to NG. He was told beginning or end of june. But when I spoke to promotions they said they were told tentative 50 June 21. But as usual the Job could pull the plug on that at any time for any reason.

Way too early for that rumor but it would make sense. This list dies in 2022. Have an exam in 2021 and release it in 2022.

positive news is there should be a class regardless. I was told 35 and now this forum alone is saying 50. I hope you are all correct as 50 brings me ALOT closer.

If this is true it will bring the list over 300 in the first year mark. Def good news for the people with the higher list numbers especially if we are expecting a lot more retirements as the job is trying to push out the original tier 2 guys.

The list should reach 300 or so after the first year. Projecting only 200 for each of the next 3 years which is on the low side still brings the list to 900. Thats already way above historical numbers. As someone pointed out on another thread a Lt list has never gone above 800.

Dude...if it wasnt for the 100 vacancies at the beginning of the list due to the 2015 Lt exam debacle we would still be in the 150s. So in actuality this list is moving slower than the historical average...facts!

Force is actually right on this. There were 100 vacancies the day the first promotions came from this current list. Thats because there was a gap of about 9 months time where there was no active list and vacancies just kept piling up. They promoted 2 large groups of 50 each on June 5th and June 29th to clear out the backlogged vacancies. The list slowed down SIGNIFICANTLY after this with only 2 more classes for the remainder of 2018. Subtract 100 from whatever number were at now and thats the true number for the year. About 150 or so. It is actually moving SLOWER than the historical average of about 175 a year.

Definitely easy. I utilized it on a basic associates degree and the academy transcript and ended up with about 101 credits. Relatively inexpensive as well.

The tentative promotion dates that 63ASAP posted earlier this year had June 28 listed as a tentative date, not June 21. I know its a tentative list but 63ASAP is pretty solid with his info

I appreciate the vote of confidence, but yes, it is tentative. It could just as much be the 21, 28, or neither. Also, hearing the current class was told 50 for July 1 now (would make sense as it marks the first day of the new fiscal year). Also, seems like vacancies will be shooting up a bit more as a good portion of terminals are turning over this summer.

If the current class was told July 1st by the BMOC instructors then that means July 1st is the first day of BMOC. Therefore the promotion date will most likely be June 28

I love the pessimism and nonsense that's written in here. Once the LBA settles their contract, the dinosaurs will begin to retire. Remember the majority of the 1700ish LTs are eligible to retire.

Hey guys been a while... I also hear 50 Lts getting made on 6/28 promotion and going into bmoc as per my sources. Good luck and congrats! I also hear possibly small group of Capts getting made but the Capts is very very tentative at this time.
