For those of you that have list numbers lower than 701, stop worrying...you will definitely get promoted because of one very important fact! Sgt. McDonald is list #701. The Department needs to promote him no matter what because of the wonderful and meaningful things his family has done for the Department and the City over the years. So anyone that scored higher than him will 100% be promoted (unless you get jammed up). Anyone that scored lower than him have no guarantees from the Department. But based on historical data of promotion rates, the list "should" get up to around the 800's by the end of the 4th year of promotion. No one knows if the list will be cut or not...everything we talk about here are speculations based on rumors, historical facts, and personal predictions/feelings. Good luck to everyone that are still on the list. Only time will tell...

 Very true. Nobody has any idea whats going to transpire. Its completely useless when people say I heard the list is getting cut a specific score.  By the time this list expires there will be a new mayor, a new PC and a new chief of Dept. 3 years is a long time. Let that sink in DrPapi.

Are there any early rumors of a June promotion. With a small class of 35 coupled with numerous vacancies the numbers are definitely there. 

Like I had posted earlier,..my sources are saying that after the May 3rd promotion, no more classes until Fall,...lets hope this changes ,....Ill keep you guys posted ,..

Also why would the halt Lt classes because PO's were pulled out of their commands? That doesn't make any sense. 

These loser nerds dont have any sources. All out has ZERO to do with the Lt promotions.

I didnt say they had anything to do with ALL OUT, but thats what I was told regarding promotions for LTs. I consider the source really reliable considering theyre part of the unit that deals firsthand with movement within the department. I just hope that the PC approves more LTs before September (hence the ALL OUT mention). Im not trolling....just sharing guys....Id like for it to be sooner...Im in the same waiting game

 How are you coming up with only 1 more LT promotion this year when the list already has around 75 vacancies on 5/2 not even  including the 35 going in tomorrow.  Not to mention the pension section is being flooded recently with retirements. 

I doubt that.  Anyone hired before 2001 has the option of 3 year average or last year.  If you have been in the "sweet gig" for 3 years you are protected from a sudden decrease in overtime.
