That would be in line with the numbers they cleared up to. Though it's just a rumor, it makes sense! Let's hope. I'm still sore about dropping a bunch of names, so the larger the better.

I didn't hear a # just told there's a promotion week of Thanksgiving from high rank in 1pp that works hand in hand with this stuff.

I think I speak for most that the speed of this list out of the gate is very promising. Im sure they will be a slow down at some point but to potentialy reach 225-230 names in the first 6 months will go along way. Keep it moving.

Don't forget, most of the initial promotions were simply to make up the lack of promotions/piled up vacancies from 2017/18. Once you account for that, the promotions are still on pace with historical averages.

Known colloquially as BMOC, for all ranks.

Very true however the upfront vacancies helps in the long run to push the list past the historocal numbers of where list numbers are usually cut.

Like I said I wouldnt be surprised if the list was in the low to mid 300s by the 1 year mark. And with these new rumors could it possibly be higher than that.. time will tell. But dont be surprised if they promote the whole list. In 3 1/2 years Ill come back and say I told you so.

Any word in relation to what vacancies they are filling? 63ASAP last posted that "as of October 2, there are 35 lieutenant vacancies (which includes allotment for LCD/LSA), and an additional 12 on terminal leave.".... Are they anticipating a Captains class at the same time as Sgts and Lts? I understand simple math yes, however it appears the rumblings are another class of 50 or so...

Got word today the 50 number for Lt promotions week of Thanksgiving is confirmed..i also heard they are currently putting together a list of people who will have to do mentoring  I think you'd have to be out of a patrol function for more than 2 years to be selected for mentoring

Mentoring is 3 weeks long before promotion, so notifications should be coming this week and those who get selected need to begin mentoring the week of October 29th the latest.

If 50 is confirmed then the list would be at 220 absent any Passovers or previous Passovers that are now eligible.

Spoke with one of the instructor from Lederahip Training today. He told me that they expect a class of 50 in December. Just FYI, I dont know anyone from special room, it was just an innocent conversation with the instructor. Good Luck to all.

All right. Cut it out tough guy. I guess we all already know that you are not even LT yet and if you ever become one, the department will have to invent a new special spot for you named Special ROOM Lieutenant. LOL stop speaking non-sense.

Question for someone who did the mentoring class for the current Lt class. What was the time gap between your notification for mentoring and when you actually started?

There are rumblings on the Sergeant forums regarding mentoring. The Finest would drop tomorrow for them to start Monday Oct 29 for three weeks of mentoring and then they begin five weeks of BMOC before they get promoted for Christmas. I looked when the last Lts mentoring occurred. The Fnest came down Sept 7 with a start date of Sept 10 and promotions Sept 28. If they are doing mentoring for this rumored Thanksgiving Lts class- our Finest also needs to drop tomorrow Friday Oct 26 for Mentoring to start Monday Oct 29. Anyone with any intel?

Are they still planning 2 classes this year (50&30) or just this one?

Based on current vacancies and terminal numbers it would seem unlikely but if the earlier rumor of 20 or so captain promotions before the end of the year then the numbers would seem to indicate a strong possibility. Just speculating on my part though.

This one was the "30" that was rumored. Just happens to be more than planned. I'd wager that's it for the year, but who knows.
