Next bmoc will be 8 weeks with the mentoring guys. Will they continue who knows.

last week we were told that only the next class will be 8 weeks. dont know the reason for it. But any bmoc after that will go back to 6 weeks.

I heard that the reason theyre going to an 8 week BMOC is to prepare everyone for the lack of OT theyll get as a SGT

One week of training is to teach you that someone cant walk in front of your desk off the street and physically threaten to assault you.

8 weeks of VMOC is complete bull****. This dept is going backward everyday treating us like babies. 2 weeks of mentoring and 4 weeks VMOC are enough. There is no need to teach us how to behave and talk to perps. We already know we have to salute them no matter what.

The other 4 weeks is to learn how to spell BMOC

Thanks, the heading says "8 week BMOC or what?" . It will be 8 weeks not 8 week. This is for you to learn. Writing VMOC in place of BMOC is just a lack of attention. Also, in your prior statement theyre will be they're and theyll will be they'll. More to learn for you in future.

The main reason for 8 weeks is the promotion schedule. You wont be walking across after 2 weeks in bmoc. You have to have certain amount of weeks in before you get promoted. I am not talking about those who got skipped or behind promotion.

Hopefully next week for mentoring guys to Start on Sept 3rd that's when we go to field training so they should be in.

There u go that's what's going around the 10th. We are done on the 7th. It makes sense. No matter what September class will be promoted in October and not in September. If u do the math that leaves room for one more class.

Thank you!! I can only hope when I get the call its 8 weeks. It might be long and boring but Ill consider it a vacation from the normal everyday BS on patrol.

My man u dont know what boredom is. It's literally watching paint dry. People take their vacation during bmoc.

The rooms can easily hold 85 people. Why are we stuck on under 60 if we can allow for more. Or should I say typical NYPD?

No its at 296 now it looks like it will be up to 450ish approx number end of the year but thats just a guess with what they have been putting in and how many weeks we have left in the year

With the mentoring 355-360. Next class 415-420. January u got the 3 years guys about 5 to 7 who will qualify. You have to add them to math.
