I have never posted before but I usually check here for the rumors. I was wondering if anyone could clarify where the promotion date of the 20th came from? Several people were saying it was the 21st before the mentoring then when the order for the mentoring came out, I thought it confirmed the 21st promotion date. The order says mentoring ends at 2400hrs on the 20th which I take as the night of the 20th so the promotion would be the 21st. I thought 0000hrs would be the beginning of the listed date so for the promotion to be on the 20th, wouldn't the mentoring end at 0000hrs on the 20th?  Ends at 2400 on the 20th meaning the night of the 19th. It's amazing how bad this dept is at letting people know the simplest of details. It's a shame guys getting promoted the week of Thanksgiving have to come to this message board to figure out when they're getting promoted. 

So we can assume that Finest will drop friday for ID photos and Tue promotions? Anyone else getting promoted on tue? Cpt and up?

I got the email too. It is addressed to all of us. It says we have to report half at 1200hrs and half at 1300hrs to expedite our paperwork. I count 50 names but I did it quickly so don't judge my counting abilities. Haha. 

I just called the Sgt who sent the email and she said it's for photos and paperwork. Congratulations whoever is going.

The last name I see is #217.

 The class is supposedly 50 names and they were at list number 170.  They most likely put in a few pass overs for time, etc.  If 217 was the last one notified in the email then Id say its safe to say it ended at 217.

 January is more likely for the next LT class based on current numbers. Either way 220 names is a solid start for the first 6 months of the list.

 Even if they end the first year at 400 names, which would be amazing, that still leaves 900 people for the final three years. That would be a break-neck pace.

Weird that they didnt include 217/218/219 together Since they had the same scores, good luck to all that made it

I know a lot of them like to talk, but the reality is they'll never definitively see that far into the future. There are just too many variables. There are vacancies- though not a ton. An argument could be made for no class next month, but I don't see it stagnating longer than that. I'd bet that information you received is inaccurate...either by design, or out of obliviousness (not to mention there are no May promotion dates on the calendar).

I should have the mid-month numbers soon, but I don't see them differing too much from the last ones. I do think a small class makes sense for the February promotions, leading to a small overage. After that, I think it may chill out until the April or June dates. But that's also entirely speculation on my part.

 I heard end of February for a small class. Yet, it wouldn't surprise me if the job decided not to put in a class for the 1st half of the year. Nothing on this job makes sense.
