He was probably still probation (extended) . I don't think you can get demoted after you are done with probation.

I don't know the guy. But that sucks big time. What could he have possibly done? Even a ton of OEEOs won't amount to a demotion, they usually just bury you in some spot for misfits. I'm pretty sure he will fight it. He won the LT. lawsuit, he can do it again.

You need to work really really hard to get demoted as a Lieutenant. Most demotions are Detectives who have a 3 year probation and thus more time to blow it and Sergeants who just werent able to transition into a supervisory role. At higher ranks you usually dont have a demotion problem unless you are a true piece of trash. If thats the case then that individual probably got lucky and slipped through the cracks as a SGT.

How embarrassing. Two years ago he was bragging about being the guy that started the lawsuit that changed everything and harrassing people to pay his debts. Now he is harrassing females durning the age of #metoo. What a genius. Got what he deserved. A few months and he would of been a captain. Now he is back in blue with no chance of getting promoted again. The slimy 9 is now the slimy 8.

Anyone who failed that test and is now a lieutenant because of that lawsuit is truly slimy if they didn't pay their fair share, barring extenuating circumstances.
