If this is true and its a big IF. Then everyone would have a lower readjusted score. Could potentially knock people off the list. Even some in in the mid 70s could get knocked off

edit: actually the more I think about it I believe scores would go up instead of down. I forgot to include the getting of points for the question that wouldve been thrown out. So this list could possibly get bigger

Nobody has any idea when it will be cut. The Dept needs change every minute. I wouldnt be surprised if the whole list was hired and I wouldnt be surprised if it gets cut at 1900.

The jobs gonna hit somewhere around list #600 by the end of the year. And at least the 2300s but definitely has a chance to make it to the end when all is said and done. You can take that to the bank. I told you all about the list being above 2600 when everyone said I was crazy. Told you all about the curve when everyone said I was crazy. Now I'm telling you about this. In about a month the LT list should be out and then everyone will be screaming about that massive thing being cut *Which it probably won't*. Just wait and see. Till then, just enjoy being on the list and ignore the cynics.

Lets be real. If that first list was the final list. All those bottom feeders or lucky ones would have nothing to worry about. Now just because the reality of list being this long and will get cut around 1800 bothers some. Go get a pacifier and suck on it. Nothing else to say. The point is for people like me who originally failed at protest session time and now Im in 1800s on the list and no unit will touch me because of that. For people like we would rather fail then die on the list and be barred from getting a shield. No need for your condescending tone because all you did is pass a test that doesnt really test intelligence or common sense. I pity anyone whos going to have you as a supervisor.

Once again 1800s is the list getting cut. Believe me or not. Dont care. Been around for a while and I am pretty sure a lot longer then most of you guys. And been a patrol cop not spoon fed like most guys. I will be a very very fair supervisor cuz I have done nothing but patrol last 12+ years. Have seen Very good bosses and very ****ty ones and can differentiate what works. Common sense and being good supervisor will get u a lot farther then being a dick head. Always remember that and listen to your cops. Dont be an ******* when your time comes. Cuz *******s dont go far.

Lmao. Did it ever occur to u. Just maybe some of us take these test for pension reason. My bad. U arent that smart to figure that out with gift u received from Dcas. U on tier 3 most likely. Not me. I have 6 years to go and I rather retire with little more cash. If I really wanted that shield. Would have taken 2009 sgt test and pass that one. And trust me I would have passed it with flying colors. Thats all good. See u guys around 1800s. And thank Dcas once again for putting in retards as sgts. There is enough of them out there. Didnt need more.

Not to interject as a jerk but if you REALLY want to fluff those pension numbers and have no plans for LT, you shoulda tried to be a Detective. I see Det checks that dwarf a Sgt on patrol check by far. Goodluck getting into an investigate overtime detail without investigative experience. Goodluck in IAB with zero OT.

Anyway, let's move on now. Next PPO class, how many? How many Sgt eligible for retirement 20yrs and 25yrs OTJ, and next BMOC date.

I agree with Mck04 when it comes to list numbers in 1800s or more. Monitor promotions closely next few years and when the schools start classes for next exam start studying if you think you might not make it. I say that because you dont want to be like me or Mck04. I was stupid. I always said Ill never take the test. Ill stay a cop Im happy. Took 1 test In 2006 or 2007 not sure which one but failed in mid 60s from not putting in work. I took on the mentality that it wasnt meant to be and not wanting to go back to school for credits (military) I decided Id be a cop until I retire. Not smart. Now I see Captains with similar tax numbers to me. It was a warped way of thinking. I honestly had no intentions on taking this last exam but was convinced by a guy in my command that its time for a change and think about pension and retirement. I know Im rambling on but the point is here I am in the mid 400s on the list eligible to retire in 2 years thanks to buying back 3 years military and it took me taking and passing this exam to realize I wasted a lot of time on this job. I wont retire in 2 years because it would be a waste to not make it to top pay Sergeant. My goal is actually to get enough credits for Lt and hopefully take that exam pass and retire top Pay Lt. Could have been easier if I wasnt so stubborn. So be happy and proud that you passed but dont be comfortable that you will make it then die on the list and lose your drive to move forward on this Job. Yes my grammar sucks before anyone comments. I have no degree just a military guy. Lol. Good luck to all.

I am in the same spot didnt do as well as I would have liked. I didnt pick up any points and will most likely get cut. I am hoping for the best. But I think the 25 is starting to hit reverse. Lots of change and more overwatch at least 6 Sgt leaving my command. I personally think they will get to around 2300 if not the whole list.

Dont usual post. Just read. But I also heard that the list will be cut around 1700-1850. Max. Dont know how true it is. Take it as is but did just wanted to Throw it out there. He might be right. We will see when that tome comes or have better idea from number of people going in and its frequency. Not going to say from where but pretty reliable person.

I was told last year before the list came out, that there were two lists originally. One wasnt what the Dept wanted and the other they wanted to pull from, he said if you get over 1800 on the second list to study. We cant predict on rumors, if they do the same grading formula with Lt exam there will be vacancies. At this point its just a waiting game.
