8 throwouts. List comes out March/April. No trolling here. Take it or leave it. Very reliable. Ive never posted false info, check it!

Hey buddy I actually heard the same info, is all throw outs or is that a mix of throw outs and doubles?

If true, that would be an insane list size.

How could there possibly be 8 throwouts on that test? Seems way to excessive.

Hopefully the end is near. 8 Throw-outs would really help people's scores but, would make for a bigger list. hmm

8 THROW OUTS.....I ASKED IF THAT INCLUDED DOUBLE ANSWERS, THERE WAS NO CLEAR ANSWER ON THAT, SO I DONT WANT TO SPREAD FALSE HOPE ON THE DOUBLE ANSWERS THING. IF I GET MORE INFO, ILL POST. BUT ID CONSIDER THE INITIAL POST VERY RELIABLE. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE.

Are there any rumors of the size of the list with the number of throwouts being discussed.

8 is a lot but you never know.

April sounds right for the release. I know it feels like eternity but it hasn't even been 6 months yet. I don't think dcas has ever released a list in under 6 months, so spring/early summer is a good bet.

After cops took Sgt test and came to work the first thing that came out their mouths was that there are few questions double/throwout. As weeks and months went on it became clear in their view that exam wasnt that well written. Lt test, on the other hand, was from give me category. Ask anyone who scored 70 theyll tell you they cant think of any throwouts. Ask anyone how many questions they protested. 2-3 tops. The vast majority protested jack ****. Got their score, got up and left. Not one person on my protest day came with PG material. I could think of only 1 throwout. in inbasket. 61s questions

He may be a serial killer but i heard the same may/june thing from a reliable source. So ManHands but as predicted your feb list release is turning out to be fake news! Dcas hasnt even sent to prelim list over to be reviewed by the fit unit. As I have said numerous times...from that point it is a month's wait. So the way it is looking may and june seems more realistic..that is the same 10 month wait that the sgts had to go through

I guess we will all just have to wait and see. I passed on info that was told to me. Period. (For the record I only protested 2 myself so when I heard 8, I was surprised as well)

8 seems like a lot.. 1400 ppl passing with 3 throw outs is already a lot and thats what I last heard of. I havent gotten any further update in a couple of months though. Who knows though... DCAS threw a curve ball with the last Sgts list.

Cant see 8 throwouts. Way to straightforward of a test. That would also ensure to large a list. It would wind up causing many to die on the list.

After receiving that info....Thats my take on it.......make a huge list, avoid lawsuit for fairness of questions, and cut the list when they feel the need to. Or promote at a rate that people will die on the list.

You're better off. ENJOY YOUR CHART DAYS!

Yes enjoy your chart days!*

*also enjoy being on patrol or sitting on the desk while your lieutenant is in the lounge watching movies or working out in the gym. Enjoy being assigned communications on the new icmt system that you cant hide from. Writing 49s, LOD paperwork, rmp accidents. Filling out 28s for your LT when he bangs out once a week. Doing vehicle checkpoints. Doing much more evals, annuals than a LT would do. Making less money. Making less money during retirement. Etc....but yes, dont forget those glorious chart days.

I can debunk just about every one of those points. Communications? Ok. LT banging out once a week? Not if he doesn't have the time which most don't, which takes me back to my point about chart days. LT in the lounge or the gym the whole tour? Those days are over, doesn't happen anymore. Evals, big deal. Making less money? NEGATIVE K. Lt's work 45 minutes a day for FREE. Equate that 45 min a day to the raise and its about the same as Sgt, BUT Sgts get chart days!! So, I repeat..ENJOY THOSE CHART DAYS

Yeah like a said before, you could keep the charts days Ill take my white shirt thank you very much! Bro do you know how many times I had to do a LTs job, plenty of times yeah the no chart days suck but I dont see any LT running back to give the rank back because they miss their chart days and again you could keep your chart days.

Sergeant is hands down the worst rank if you're on patrol, slow or busy command. Fodx, spend one week on patrol and see how you feel about chart days. Put it this way, I'd take a massive pay cut instead of being a sergeant on patrol. This promotion can't come soon enough.

I can see why a Lt wouldn't want to make Captain because it gets extrmely cut throat in that rank and beyond. Sgt to Lt is a no Brainer.  Lt life is easiest one compared to all other ranks. I'll take a comfortable existence over the extra cash. Not worth the money to enter into the political arena of Captains and above.

You will never admit this, but I'm sure you had somebody to get you in whatever charmed position you're in. I busted my ass for a top 50 score, no hooks here.

Also I can already tell you're a big time dooshbag by calling Sergeants on patrol "Zeros". This is exactly what is wrong with the job.

You actually didnt debunk anything I stated.  Sounds like you dont mind doing 49s, communications and evals.  Also yes my LT some Days doesnt even get dressed, still happens.  And banging out once a week or how ever often depends on how much time someone has, dont assume that no one has any time.  And yes Ill work 45 min free, watching tv or working out.

Im in a detail myself but lets be realistic, that has no bearing. plenty of great supervisors are stuck on patrol due to the politics of the job! ill take my promotion in any command they are sending me to and Ill have my chart days back quicker then most!

2andDone thank you for complete honesty about what it takes to get a detail on this job. POLITICS and such is life, and I'm totally fine with that. It's guys like shotsfired and his holier than thou mentality calling patrol sergeants ZEROES that piss me off. Comradarie is out the window with one way guys like this.  I feel sorry for the patrol guys who get this superstar for the 6 months he's on patrol before he runs like a bitch to his hook for rescue, seen it time and time again.

You sound like a guy that has NEVER done patrol his whole career. For you to call Sergeants on Patrol zeros shows that you're either a house mouse OR you'vebeen spoon fed your whole career. I'm sure you got to whatever "unit" you're assigned to by kissing ass and licking boots, I doubt it was by merit.

Bro your a loser, I happen to be in a gig off patrol where for the most part my work load is cake but I much rather be a LT on patrol then be a sgt in a gig, so your statement is invalid,

Wow, I really butt hurt a lot of guys on this forum lmao. Ive done, patrol and Ive done details on this job. All I read are people crying and complaining on a promotional forum, begging for that white shirt so you can flex your muscles and lay upstairs in the lounge. Its kinda funny and pathetic at the same time. We all passed a 100 question test, relax were not brain surgeons.

You sound like an astounding supervisor, your subordinates must love you.

The purpose of this forum is to discuss "promotions" and have a dialogue about whatever rank you wish to obtain. If it bothers you that people are looking to get promoted and better themselves (regardless of what the reason may be) perphaps you need to look in the mirror and tackle your shortcomings head on, instead of bashing others.

You guys are right though I used the wrong set of words. Sgts on patrol are not zeros. But the bitching and moaning about being on patrol on this board is constant. If you cant stand patrol then do something about it. There is plenty of movement in this department.
