As of October 16, we are at 0 vacancies for captains (CPT through Asst. Chief), and an additional 48 are on terminal leave. For captains only, we're at 2 vacancies, along with 17 on terminal.

Let's not start that negativity. The list is ahead of historic rates so lets hope the trend continues...I can't see da job not making the entire list since it's only a little over a year old at this point. We all know anything can happen but there's still time before the doom and gloom posts.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say that I am unfortunately no longer in a position where Im able to provide updates for everyone on vacancies. Hopefully someone else will take the helm.

Whats up. I dont have vacancy numbers but my source told me there are 17 captains who Have filed and are currently running their time. Some of them have 2 years in time built up and some have 30 days or less. So take that for what its worth I guess.

The reality is most Lieutenants arent pressing being promoted like the other ranks. Yea its gonna be nice as a captain but its pretty good staying a Lieutenant also. Even the bottom of the barrel pct platoon cmder isnt doing to much these days. So whenever the promotion comes, it comes. No worries, no stress, no freakin out over fake news & rumors. Leave that to the sgts and Lt forums. lol. I would only say it would be nice to have some vacancy #s so some of us can gauge how long it may take for us to be up.
