im hearing a class of 100 on jan8. Dont know how true that is but its from someone who is directly part of bmoc instructors in the academy...anyone else hearing this?

Ive heard 75 on Monday including 14 holdovers from 2013 list. However Ive heard this from people who say they have a source, I havent heard this from anyone directly involved.

103 people got cleared for promotion today . My friend was one of them , to verify credits . Finest will be out tomorrow . Dont know many but over 100 were cleared .

I figure that between the current vacancies and the fact that a lot of commands are going to become NCO commands at the end of this month, they're need a lot of Sgts NOW. Unfortunately, I'm expecting things to slow down after this class until the Sgts get a pay bump and the Lts list comes out. My opinion.

As a cop your vacation is always guaranteed even if you transfer commands. Not true as a sgt. If you're close to getting promoted don't pay for anything yet. You can pretty much guarantee they will use you for every major detail in the summer.

As a cop u most likely will keep your picks however as a Sgt they are not guaranteed due to need of then department.
