All ops order and CCRG questions were tossed for
Not being on the NOE. The rest of those questions were research. There is no other way to challenge the questions now
Can anyone explain why 106 didnt make the list of throw outs? I thought that was the one everyone was saying all along HAD TO BE a throw out? Out of the 5 supposed throw outs, I picked up 3, I need 4. 106 would get me the 70. Any input would be appreciated

It was patrol guide and "most correct". Only two words were different than the procedure, which made it most correct

From what I remember question 106 was a hybrid question and the ops order after the cutoff date was not the correct choice anyway, so it wouldn't matter. Still a good argument like many others submitted to dcas by the Tvb but dcas deemed them to be correct. Every single rumor on this forum pertaining to this exam has been inaccurate so far, even the rumors that came from people " in the know " Hate to be that negative guy but those of you who are getting your hopes up are setting yourselves up for disappointment . Im sitting at a 69 and if this is true I'll be at a 73 but honestly I think hell would freeze over before dcas goes back in time and changes 5 questions . Either way I give the " slimey 9 " a lot of credit for having the balls to do what they did, even if their mission fails. I know I would've not had the balls to do it.
I pick up three if the two blanks I left don't count but if blanks are marked as wrong and they somehow still count, then all five, maybe someone can answer that? Either way however, I would make it.
Not revising question 106 is unexplainable and atrocious..... However this was a negotiation not a tvb.....
They attacked the noe, not the questions since a deadline had passed. 106 was a pg questions covered by the noe, "most correct" is a trick that's been around for a long time
I could spend days debating on which answer was most correct in that situation given the fact that they were all wrong, as I have previously posted in the past. But I wont bore you with the details, fact of the matter is they ****ed up the question and refused to redeem themselves....

Ok. I'm just telling you the deadline to attack individual questions passed long ago. Which prob why they can't change it
Sarge you should go read the city's MTD it spells 106 out and explains how all three WRONG answers were duties of the SECOND supervisor on the scene and that the MOST CORRECT answer was the only answer that was a duty of the FIRST SUPERVISOR on the scene With only the addition of two words: and ems. There really was only one most correct answer, and thats why 85% of test takers got it right. Take a look at the public documents... They are covered on that one.

Correct. The settlement is based on problems with the NOE, not problems with questions specifically.
Your very statement proves my argument, they say that because only two words changed theirs is most correct, but their "wrong" answer has only one word changed; ie "second" over "first"....
Sarge, I hear ya about 106. Just curious though, would u be picking up enough points to pass with this rumored settlement? If so maybe its time to let the 106 argument go...
I fought number 106 more than any other person in this forum probably.. I wrote a thesis of why it's wrong.. I know it is still wrong.. You can't have a most correct that has a wrong element to the question "ems".. It's after the cutoff date and I choose the right answer as wrong for being wrong.. At the end of the day, the judge chose wisely to go after notice of examination..
I, for one do need question 106 to be thrown out. I understand the frustration of everyone in this debacle, and I am glad that some guys/gals will pick up the questions needed to obtain the 70. I picked up 3 out of the 4 that I needed. However, if a question is legitimately wrong and that is the difference between me passing a failing, why does everyone feel that we should just "let the argument go?"
Should I sit here with a 69 and a smile on my face because some guys can finally get promoted? I have never seen so many one way people in my life. You will get promoted, way before a lot of the guys who just squeaked by with these extra questions, but don't **** on guys who guessed right on one question less than a passing grade when this whole test was a kick in the balls to every hard working studier out there.
And yes, I am the same "brooklynnorth" that posted a few replies up, however, I lost my account info on every device except my personal computer so I can only post at home, that is why I have a new username.

The answer was "most correct." The other 3 answer choices were more wrong. 85% of test takers got the question right, suggesting it was more than a guess.
It is a 1-way attitude when you feel people who scored 20 points higher than you should be held up.
Sorry to be blunt but yes, it is time to let it go. You didn't miss by 1, you missed by 31. The next exam is around the corner for those that didn't make it.
Do you have the breakdown of test takers who got that question right? If I remember correctly, ever thread about this abortion had 106 as a "guaranteed throw out." That wasn't 15% of the people who thought that.
And yes, I failed by 31, I would have rather failed by my original number of 34. I am glad that there will be some people who picked up the points and squeaked by but get off your high horse. If you are going to sit here and say that you knew 89% of that test that I am going to have to call bull****. You guessed correctly on more questions then the rest of us. The only people who left that exam knowing they passed are the people who took the makeup. Stop it already.
Yes, if the rumors are correct I picked up enough points where 106 doesn't make a difference to me other than scoring one point higher. However I will never admit that 106 shouldn't have been a throw out. If there is one single question on this test that deserved to be thrown out, it was 106. Dcas violated their own rules!

Many here protested 106, when they already had a passong score. So you can chill with that one way talk. Secondly, we didn't write the test or the article 78 law. I'm sorry it didn't work out for you.
Yes, I understand that. But obviously the article 78 law does not hold water if the judge is allowing the two groups to come to an agreement on throw outs. Therefore, if that was a highly protested question, and many agree that it is wrong, why should we just give up as recommended by I Shred Majors.
When the list was initially out, I sat by and watched all the bickering on here and at my command. I swallowed the failure pill and was ready to take the next one. I agree that everyone that passed on the initial day should have been promoted in March and that it was an atrocity to hold everyone over.
That being said, there is obviously a precedence here that DCAS is beatable and they cant just **** on us any longer. Everyone who passed now has the opportunity to move on to take the Captain's test in the near future and will know that DCAS cannot just pull this garbage on them. That has to be a great feeling for you guys. By giving up on question 106 is feeding into their power hungry attitude and will influence future tests.
I congratulate all who passed, and those on the fence like me, maybe things will change come Monday and we will pick up the necessary points. If not, there is always next time.

Be safe and good luck.
Article 78 law does hold water, which why we are at this Point. Hopefully future exams will be fair, but that's not the trend of late.
Does anyone know if DCAS will provide me with a copy of my answer key? I threw it away after I failed the first time, but now stand a chance of picking up a few if this whole thing comes to fruition. I looked on the DCAS website but couldn't find anything about that topic. Thanks in advance.

Yes they will provide you a copy. Go to dcas in person if you want it quick.
