Sweet Jesus, 10 months out? That's crazy. There were 85+ interim orders last year. This means that between now and October you're looking at 75-80 changes. That would suck my motivation dry if I had to re-learn 80 different procedure.
Anyway, from most people I know 6-7 months seems to be the sweet spot. 10 months? This reeks of nothing but a shameless money grab.

Seems like all three major schools in the modern day charge the same amount whether it's 10 months or 6 months. They just give breaks throughout the course so it ends up being the same number of classes.
Also, when an IO comes out you usually aren't "relearning" the procedure, often it's only one or two lines of the procedure. Yes you have to learn the change, but the whole thing isn't thrown out.

Charge the same amount? One school (Rising Star) is a FEW HUNDRED bucks less. Yeah, you don't follow a pre-determined scheduled and have to commute to a class to have the PG read to you, but if you're a motivated self-studier, it's well worth the savings! IMHO, I'd rather not have anything change once I read it and learn it. With so much going on, it gets confusing after a while even with one sent

I mean relative to their past classes, not relative to each other. I've seen the Key do eight month courses and six month courses and the cost was the same. Same with Elite and Rising Star. They each cost different amounts than each other for several reasons, but they won't raise or lower their prices depending on whether the course is six months or 10.
