Good news: There is a group getting promoted to Captain on January 30.
Thought Brat said otherwise! And I totally disagree with 2016 prediction. More like mid to end of 2015. I know numerous who dont have the education, jammed up and some that wont have the time yet on 2013 list. If January class becomes true we are about two classes away from 2014 list unless they put in single digit classes like a couple of classes back.

Good news: There is a group getting promoted to Captain on January 30.
12 captains and 25 Lt on January 30. This will leave 25 on 2013 cap list and 13 of those are not eligible for promotion until April 25 because of time, and there may be few held over for other reasons. I think that the group from 2014 cap list will be promoted by July or August.
Yes.... Feb 1 Captains and above can waive their terminal and receive $... I hope a lot of these dinosaurs give up their Dream/stop reaching for the star(s) and retire....
Why do we still fax 49s? Fax arrest paperwork? Why do we have to call the Borough, Operations and INRU to give them all the same information?
How about getting an email from the wheel to fax a 49...backwards lol. Anyhow on average how many captains get made a year or is it inconsistent, I also believe we will see a few made this year from 2014 exam

Captain promotions does this mean then Lt also???
I don't know unfortunately. I know that a lieutenant in my precinct got the word he starts his mentoring for captain on 1/19 and that promotions will be 1/30. Sorry I don't have more info.
I am hoping your wrong Techno as I desperately need two more points ant I think it makes sense for the Department to create a bigger list but then again nothing does anymore
It usually would take about a month to compile the senioirity,fit points, etc... I know a few people on the fringe as well. Hopefully they get the addtional points. As of now its just a rumor I'm passing on. It could be completely wrong.
