Aspen is very good. I'm using them to complete my degree. The classes can be completed at your own pace. You can take the full 10 weeks for each class or literally bang them out in less than a month. Aspen is an accredited university and is accepted by the job. Once you get your credits consolidated (key credits, academy, prior college), you will only have to take a few classes to complete your degree.

I'm using aspen as well. I have to take 16 classes with them plus the project. Once you complete 24 credits you will have to take a proctored exam and once all courses completed there's a final exam. Just be prepared to do a lot of writing.

I used Aspen to get my degree in order to get promoted to Captain. At the time it cost me a flat fee of 4,200. It took me about 8 months to obtain the degree. Well worth it!! If anyone needs some ideas with the final project inbox me.

I used Thomas Edison to finish my degree. They are the only school I believe that will accept up to 120 transfer credits towards a degree. I earned my BA through them. Most other schools will only take 90 if I remember correctly.

Do you remember if Thomas Edison took your police academy credits? I just called them and they told me that they only accept NJ police academy credits.

Apply to Thomas Edison, it is $75. Send your Academy transcript and they will give you an academic evaluation to see which courses you have left for your degree. They will not accept the FEMA courses for evaluation.

Did you get a degree from Thomas Edison or know someone that did?

Yes, I received a degree in Criminal Justice from Thomas Edison. I had previous credits from multiple schools. I had to send TESC a transcript from each school and the Academy. After they completed my academic evaluation I only needed 6 classes to get my degree. They are all online and they have a semester that begins every month. The semesters are 12 weeks long.
