I thought it was much better than last year's shytshow of an exam, but there was still quite a few questions that could be challenged mostly out of 217 I think. There was an Operations Order that was over a year old so it should technically be expired, but I thought it was an easy question, but could be challenged bc it should be expired. Also they did throw the usual nonsense of report distribution, color copy of report, number of copies of report, etc. So there were difficult questions that did nitpick, but there weren't too many where I thought, "I don't remember reading this!"
Also the Risingstar did really nail it on the questions. I swear a few times I thought a saw a few of those questions as Risingstar questions word for word. The In Basket I thought was fairly easy, unless I was completely duped? Also I don't think a single In Basket question was related to other questions. The one grammar question I think could be challenged?
I think this will be a decent sized list that will last for at least a couple of years unlike the last two exams with miniscule lists.
I didn't give anything away other than what? There are 217 questions? Really? Anyone with any sense would study that anyway, one of the most relevant sections for a newly promoted precinct XO!!! I am just saying there were enough cheap shots in there too, but I think most of the exam went to relevant stuff, but there were nitpicked useless details in enough questions. Also many of the questions were long fact pattern, many were 1/3 or sometimes nearly half a page!
120 questions on this test, looks like the new trend for DCAS. Last Sgt test had 130. It is safe to assume that the April 2015 will have the research questions as well.
