No one really knows unless you count the actual pass overs. I personally think you would likely make it than not.

There's absolutely no way 10-15 are pass Overs. Maybe more accurately 5. And the number 60 I believe are new promotions. Pass overs are not usually included in that number.

My good source isnt the brat! I work with a cop that was passed over for no reason. He got the PBA involved and no one could give him a reason why he was passed over. He just went down to fill out paperwork at police plaza yesterday. They are promoting him with the class that is in now. He was told that the next class is going in on may 5.

Has anyone heard of the July class for recruits being cancelled? I did but sources are not reliable. I did see an article that The mayor and PC want to use the money for hiring to give us a raise. I wonder how long we will have to wait if they don't put a recruit class in.

I believe that article was that the city council wanted an additional 1000 recruits on top of what we were hireing in july.

It was for an additional 1000 recruits which would have pushed promotions. The promotion rate will stay the same and the recruit class will be going in but it will be about the same size that they have been hiring lately. Hopefully we do get a raise and retro. They owe me a lot of money!

At the end of the year they will have promoted minimum 500 people. They promoted around 480 last year and we are ahead of that year and pretty much even with the prior year where they promoted almost 600. Promotions pick up in the summer every single year. I feel the rate it which they are presently moving is escalated. We shall truly know by September if my assumptions are correct.

Theres no real pattern. Its been wed or thurs between 1500-1830ish for the last 10 or so classes
