Rumor has it. A lot of big talkers bragging they had hooks to transit, and all except one made it - td3. Congrats to him, kept his mouth shut about who he knew and watched all the morons get hooked out of their so called transit picks.

No its not the salary chart.. someone came down and gave us a handout and said our weekly pay should be this much, and if it's not to call them... we haven't had a full check with sgt pay yet. This last one had 5 days PO pay...and boy is it depressing

your breakdown of your check before taxes is on the sba website too. It breaks down biweekly salary....with night diff...and longevity bi weekly as well. SO youll know what your paycheck will be before taxes.

Where is it on sba website? I couldn't find it. I'm curious what the scale looks like as well.

Good luck... two years in and mine doesn't look much better. You get practically no raise above PO until the top step. There's really no excuse for this. I know the SBA explained that the stretch out resulted in a larger final salary, but to strangle us so tightly until then is unacceptable by any explanation. This is my one beef with the SBA.

Thanks for posting good to know. It really is a pretty pathetic bump for the first few years. Hopefully we get a decent raise to help a bit

No kidding. If I knew then what I know now I would have become a Det before making Sgt. Straight to the big leagues for those first 4 years. That money probably results in close to $100,000 more than entry Sgt for those first 4 miserable years. The new contracts will most likely fix this, and for those of you who wanna argue with me I personally work with a brand-spanking new Sgt who was an entry-level Det and is now a top-pay Sgt.
