Not trying to sound like a di*k, but I finished my sgt test in 2 hrs. 30 extra questions should not have taken that much longer. On the other hand I don't know how hard/long the questions were. Lt test took me 5 1/2 hours. I'd rather them just grade it on all 130. I'm just rambling here. Glad I didn't take that **** test.

Well just to give you an idea, there were about 3, 2 sentence questions the rest were ALL scenario based questions.. oh and just to add insult to injury the in basket alone was about 44 pages so i would go on to guess you prob would have taken the 6 hours I did finish but being that i got my exam booklet 5 min before the bell rang i was one that didn't get the opportunity to read the instructions before i just started answer questionand after not taking a break and seen the light at the end of the tunnel when i got to question 100 i realized there were 30 more then i completely rushed and did those 30 questions in 45 min.. so i for one would say yea it sucked...
I am a VERY fast test taker, usually the first one or two finished in about 2 1/2- 3hours. Saturday was a whole new ballgame. The in basket took nearly two hours alone. I do take an additional step of transferring all the extra things a cop has from the master list of command members directly onto the roll call. For example, PO A is van qualified, PO B is female and SNEU qualified, etc, just so I don't miss a silly mistake.
There were VERY few real ground ball type questions like The Desk Officer is responsible for ____ A B C D. Probably 110 of the 114 non-inbasket questions were entire paragraph scenarios with four long choices as answers.
Took me a little over five hours to finish, including 2 hours for the in-basket, three bathroom breaks to stretch the legs out, a snack break, a lunch break, and just a two minute head down on the desk and close the eyes to recharge. I finished, and re-read all of my "maybe" answers to double check them. All done in about 5:05. I was still only the 4th or 5th person to finish in my classroom, leaving about 20 behind with only 55 minutes to go.
All of my people that were studying hard said the in-basket had a lot of items but was easy. Same with the multiple choice, 130 questions total but all groundballs.

I dont disagree my only complaint is that i didn't have enough time to read calmly, but thats something I've dealt with all my life as i am not a fast reader never have and never will be but i deal with it.. hopefully reading the questions fast didn't hurt me that much
