I am just hoping they push it back to like February or March or something, that way I can enjoy my summer!!! If I have to study during the summer, I am just going to skip this altogether!!!
Received a fax in my command earlier from elite training, said "Attn LT's: Possible Captain exam end of 2013" that's about it, more of an FYI I guess. If they are going to do it they would need to inform the classes so they can prepare. Barely 6 months left for a Capt exam seems a bit short notice.

It's not getting pushed back. Date is still set for 11/23/13. Finest is imminent....unfortunately.
The last test was May 19, 2012 and the Notice of Examination has a filing date of January 4th to the 24th of 2012. Using that same timeframe puts the filing date for this new test in the first three weeks of July 2013. A NOE HAS TO BE PUT OUT IN JUNE! A heads up Finest comes out before the NOE! Imminent is definitely the word.
How is this elite strategic training course with Yanosek? I took the Key for sgt and Lt and i thought they were good, but i hear really good things about this Yanosek guy from his fasttrack days. Should i switch at this point? ALso although i took the key for the first 2 tests, i didnt do good on either. I got 73 raw score on both but i took 2 exams ( lieutenant exam Oct 29, and sgt exam 2007) where like nobody really passed and were extremely small lists and got lucky

I say stick with what has worked for you in the past. At the end of the day I don't think it really matters. It's all about you and the effort you put in to these exams. I went with Fast Track and barely passed the Sgt and Lt just like you but in a few months I'll be a Lieutenant...MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! All that being said, I'll be going with Elite only because I like Yanosek's teaching style and don't feel like I'm really changing anything since he came from Fast Track. Good luck to you.
Negative...the date is legit. I was apologizing for my tone in a previous post. Had one too many cervezas when I typed it and realized afterwards I came off kinda harsh.
Did they release a FINEST message pushing back the 2013 Sgt's Exam after having a FINEST message for a June exam? I really don't remember? I would be thrilled if this thing was pushed back until like February... but I will in all likelihood not get my way on that...
