Stiggity it wasnt a powder puff exam. Double the people sat for this test than the 09 exam hence double the amount passing. Yes it was fairly straight forward but people still had to study hardcore in order to know enough right answers to score 70 and above so stop being an arrogant fool

The best thing you can do is to just ignore it. Too many immature idiots and fake mulitple usernames on this forum and it's a waste of time to address them. At the end of the day we took and passed a test with a 15-20 percent passing rate and that's a accomplishment in my opinion. And it's really sad that we are going to have haters that are going to downplay what we accomplish and try to put you down. People that have nothing to do with this test. Im in the 90s with nothing to worry about but you will never see me say anything negative to guys that scored in the low 70s. I'll leave that for the Internet "I'm better than you haha" bullies.

# who passed? Type of people? The same type of people always pass the test the ones who study. HB, it's no secret that most bosses are a bunch of lazy nerds. That's why they passed. Don't get me wrong, there are alot of active guys, who get fed up with the bull**** and take the test and pass it. For the most part that's not the case. The people passing these test are are not chasing guns collars they chasing paper. Study and take the test.

Nobody is denying the fact that the test was straight forward but dont take take away the fact that people still studied harder than they ever had to in order to pass. Like with any Sgt exam either you study or you fail

Hey , I am new to posting in this forum but I am not new to the job. I have been following this forum since I took the test and I just want to make a few comments. yes they have cut lists in the past , BUT that was only before they implemented the 70 as a passing grade. Prior to the 2005 test there was no passing grade they just went down the list till it died. Since the passing grade rule of 70 has been put into effect no list has been killed before everyone was made. There can be No cut off score implemented after the test is given because the cut off score of 70 has already been established during the announcement of the test. Even tho it has not happend yet the list can be cut off at a certain list number but it will not be calculated by score. I don't know either way if everyone will get made or not off of the 2011 test but I am certain MoST will. Anyone who may possibly die on the 2011 list may have excellent grounds for a lawsuit considering they PASSED the test. I myself have a 77.5 with all my points thrown in.
One other thing and take it for what it's worth. I am 100% sure questions 16 and 17 are double answers A&Dthose are the map questions. I will post this under other topics for others to see as well.

they haven't cut one yet..the 2006 lt test will be the first to be cut since the 70 rule came into play.

The list dies 4 years from when the list is established. Thats why LTs die on the list. The LT list does go as fast as the SGT lists does. The sgt list will move at the pace it always does and everyone will be made so dont worry and stop listening to trolls like mexicansgt

In the last 18 months they hired aprox 780 sgts . That's 500 a year. That means even if that number dropped to 400 a year with budget cuts and other bull$hit it is an absolute possibility that 1600 will get promoted in 4 years

The problem with this board is you have rookies like yoyo spreading false information (and then he claims it's actually civil service law to back up his post). Here's the facts....a list can stay active for a MINIMUM of one year and a MAXIMUM of 4 years. Here's the actual civil service law....... "The Civil Service Law provides that the duration of an eligible list shall be not less than one year or more than four years. If a list has been in existence for one year or more, it shall terminate upon the establishment of an appropriate new list unless the old list is extended by action of the Department of Civil Service. Additionally, should a financial emergency restrict the filling of vacancies, the Department of Civil Service may, in its discretion, extend the duration of the list for a period equivalent to the length of the restriction. Once a list expires, it cannot be revived, nor can an individual whose name was on the expired list receive an appointment on that basis."
