How long before the next test?

I am very happy for all who did well, congrats! HOWEVER, for those of us who performed less than stellar... how long before the next test?

I need a light at the end of my tunnel, something other than retirement.

This list will be established October-December 2012. Four years of promotions, being conservative, three if not. So probably not till 2016.

This list must be established by April 2012 if they plan on promoting anyone. The 2006 list must be terminated no later than April 8, 2012.

There is no reason why they MUST have a list established. They can establish it on a Monday and do promotions on a Tuesday. At the extreme earliest it will be summer next year.

If they don't establish the list until October, that means NO Lieutenant promotions for 7 months. I cannot remember the last time they went that long with no promotions. The longest I have seen was 4 months.

With the amount of protests they are going to have they might not have a choice.

Wow, 2016.

If you all would please excuse me for a while I must go tell my female officer to take out her brown hair clip and make certain her partner covers up his tattoos... Or maybe I should let her keep it in? Awww, all to hell I think I'll let him show his tattoos AND let her keep her hair clip. Who cares?

You know, maybe instead I'll go and slap my crying PAA with some toilet paper while ordering my ADO to go and enter 61's in the 124 room. I suppose we're short because I gave the cop off to take care of his sick child.

Although, I should be careful because if do do slap her I may find that have a complaint filed against me-- or maybe somebody of some rank will just overhear me talk to myself and take some sort of action... I think.

((sigh)) I mean really, it's not as if I have heroin syringes falling from my flashlight!I guess the problem is as I look down at my roll call... I'm not just not certain who I am anymore, what day it is or where I am...

I think instead I will take 30 minutes to figure out what RMP's are available for me to drive into the DCAS office.

I think it depends a lot on the size of the list, I think anhywhere between 3-5 years.
