My delegate told me today that he called uniform promotion asking about the status of a Passover and spoke to a Captian. The captain told him he should go in the next class which is schedualed for December.

That is great new! I seriously doubted that they would go 2 months without a class.

They didn't even do that when we were on the brink of an economic meltdown in 2008.

I was hoping we would hear on the 22nd or 23rd, I'm pretty sure if we don't hear by then it won't be coming down on Thanksgiving. Thanks for the info, I hope your source is correct!

Shoot, I wonder what command u work @. They dont even bother when I dont do a dem thing even I work @ A pct. The most maybe i bring 1 collar for dis quarter if no dec. class. no stress they can put whichever as long as I get paid.

Nice to be you tkny1004........i think i work harder now than i ever was as a cop just to stay out of trouble! As for dec class...i was told by Lt from bmocc there's NO DEC Class!!! Sorry for bringing the bad news in this forum! AGAIN i want to get make as much as everyone on this forum!

The fact that there's basically only 2 classes left on this list is the only reason I can see them holding up promotions. The reason I say this is that I'm under the impression that they always want to have a class or two on reserve in case something major might happen where they would need a mass promotion. The 2011 list probably isn't going to come out for another 5 months so I'm hoping they're not going to wait 5 more months to finish it up. Hopefully my impression is wrong.

There is ALWAYS a Christmas class! The new recruits will be out for new years an so will the new bosses.

No. Someone on the forum started that no summer class rumor. Only time will tell right? Besides with 1500+ recruits graduating December 22 they going to need to maintain the 8 and 1 ratio.

We, about 120 leftover here, are on same page, everyone jus b careful on and off. Anything can get you jammed up by this department. 4 da number, I'd rather ask a special foot post everyday than gettin out wiz a sector gettin ccrv and nice juicy cd. Tranporting or hospital post even better. Good luck.

3 freaking years later. I started studying for this exam in Summer 2008 (thats 3 1/2 years ago). Unfreaking believable. There are people who passed the 2011 sgt exam who didnt even take the police entrance exam to become a cop when i cracked the book.

The January 06 academy class was the last ones eligible for the 09 exam. This Jan they will have their 6 years.

I got my money on December, all indication are that there will be a class.

No November class
Small amount left on the list
There has always been a December class
Recent retirements
Huge recruit class
January academy class

I think that the only reason they skipped a class in November is because they wanted to honor vacation picks for Thanksgiving. In addition they were overstretched with a LT class and a Captains class.

I hope she didn't get into trouble for posting what she did. It isn't exactly a state secret to say "I heard that there will be a class of 80 going in next month", so I can't see what someone's problem with her would be. I hope she's been quiet because she hasn't heard anything and wouldn't want to post speculation and that she got promoted and is busy with that.

So why would there be a December class if this guy is going to 1pp? The notification comes via finest message to report to a particular location...

The only time a telephone message comes down is for phase 1 training or "the board".

Not sure of the validity of all the information from mr. pistol, I know the prospective sergeant but not very well, just in passing etc... However from what I know some of the above post (and only the above post) is somewhat accurate.
