Damn shame! It will be almost a year in 4 months since the establishment of the 2008 list and the Dept has not promoted at least half the list.

Lets be adults and not start the nonsense of bashing one another. We all have a common goal which is to be promoted A.S.A.P. This is just information being passed along to the best of one's knowledge and we should know that with this Dept nothing is guranteed. Direct your anger towards the Department that just got a sh** load of stimulus money that will still blame the economy/budget as a reason for not promoting.

I heard class will go in on June 29.

June 1st is still in the works from what I heard.  PPL this could change, but check each month this year a class has been put in and june would be a month for a class to go in.

That pay cut is kind of dumb. In addition, the change for the worse in benefits. There is rumor of an jan 10 exam. Any one else heard anything in regards to this? Our test will be 1.5 years old soon and our list will be a year old soon. I'm getting nervous

If the list comprised of 1200 names or more like the LT's list you would have something to worry about as far as the list being cut short. Other than that it is just going to take a while longer to getting promoted.

 

There will be no Jan 10 exam and probably no exam in 2010.

There is still 300 or so names left on this list and maybe another 700 on the 2009 list which isnt out yet. Why would the dept give another test with 500+ more eligibles? That means the dept would be sitting on 1500+ names in a hiring slowdown.

Not gonna happen...

CAT, did you hear anything on a 2010 exam? this would be good for everyone on the 2008 and 2009 list since it would be a good indication that they plan on moving these list forward.
