just got back from the shield desk - they had the list of IDs and shields to prepare but they were without list #'s - I just wanted to know if I was on there - they said no. Finest message this afternoon.

when news comes down can someone post, My command is retarded and I have still not seen a list a finest or any message regarding this list. I had to get my info by calling dcas after someone posted the number.

my partner got called to go down to 1 pp tomorrow to take pics and change ID card. He was skipped and is around the 150's. He will also be going to attend BMOC with all that were skipped and 40-50 others like cat said.

I received a notification as well to report to 1PP on thurs or fri to take a photo for the new ID but no finest message yet specifying specifics on Monday's promotions. Did anyone's command get a finest message about Monday's promotions or about reporting to BMOC on Tues, 9/30?

list #177-got notified two ways. 1st i got a phone call from det's office at 1pp from a det telling me to report thurs or fri for completing promotion paper work and getting photo taken,then they faxed over offical notification to my office, explaining the same.

i would assume that a finest should be comming down either today or about 1700 hours on friday telling us to report either b.m.o.c. or promotions..

From my calculations there are 105 people with more than 5 years on from list #178 to List #300.

In other words, there are 25 people less than five years on the job between list numbers 178 to 300.

Okay here it is....from List #178 to List #300.
98 people has more than 5 years as of today.

From List #178 to List #300.
7 people will get their 5th year on 01/20/09.

From List #1 to List #300.
11 people will get their 5th year on 01/20/09.

From List #1 to List #300.
45 people will get their 5th year on 07/01/09.

After promotion there should be a finest showing what commands the new sgts are going to and who will be going to BMOC.

Any word on what time we have to report to BMOC on Tues? What room #,etc... As far as I know, there hasn't been an official Finest message yet. I heard from someone that knows someone that works at BMOC that it's : report time 0700 hrs and room 824. Has anyone been notified?

I think that's not possible because as per the finest message on 09/25/08 at 1421hrs. Those getting promoted will be off until 0800hrs on Tuesday.
Then again people RDO on Monday are going to the ceremony on their own time. doh

Usually, people being promoted pick up the weekend as RDOs.
So lets say someone who is in Squad 1 this week and has Friday Saturday off....they also pick up Sunday as well. But if someone who is Squad 3, they should not have to work this weekend and their 1st day back should be Monday. The day of promotions.

I was told today from one of the ones getting promoted that the 39 guys/gals that were skipped over are the only ones that are going to attend BMOC.

I was told by a veteran lt who have 24yrs on the job, he said usually a big bmoc class around thanksgiving day. So does anybody have any new rumor.

There are 40 people in BMOC. 39 whom have been promoted already and 1 white shield.
The 1 white shield was promoted on Monday @ 1600 hours 9/29/08 but does not have a Sgt shield yet. This person did not attend the promotions on Monday.
