I took the time to go throught the list and compare it to the hiring personnel orders from 1/20/04, 7/11/04 and 1/10/05 to see how many people wont have enough time until next year, these are all approximates:
Approx 30 people have to wait until 1/20/09 Approx 132 people have to wait until 7/1/09 Approx 74 people have to wait until 1/10/10
Just figured i would post it if anyone wanted to know, out of those people 114 scored better than me so it helps me quite a bit especially after i fell 40 names when they added in seniority points.
I spoke to Sgt. Byrne from uniform promotions and he said that dcas will issue a new list again today, because they messed up on the calculation of seniority points. If anybody feels that their final score including seniority points is wrong you could call training unit Sgt. Byrne at (646)610-8258.
Cat if you look over the new list and the finest message from 8/27/08 you will see there is a person whos real list number is over 260, when the first list came out this person had a list number in the 160 range. I am not going to give the persons info/ real list number away, because that wouldnt be right, but look at those 2 things and you will be able to see who it is.
Okay did some math.. since they got up to the 260's in BMOC...there were approximately 90 people that were ELIGIBLE that were skipped over. This means they would have to add 90 eligibles to the current BMOC class to promote everyone, thats just too many people for everyone to be promoted...My list # is in the 250's 260's area and I have 90 eligibles in front of me... By eligible I mean time on cant tell if they are jammed up etc. So if your in my boat you have prob 2 classes to go..
the best way to do it is to count the top 71 people who belong in BMOC right now....compare it to the people who are in there already so that way you know who really belongs there....who ever is not already in there should replace those who dont...give or take a few who are not eligible for what ever reason...the people who dont belong there will not get promoted and will have to wait until there list # is up...you are not considered promoted until your sworn in...they will hangout in EMD or other units until then...they will not have to do BMOC because they already did...the people who missed BMOC but got sworn in will just have to make up BMOC with the 2nd class but they will already be sgts...
your only about 30 names above me and I have about 92 eligibles in front of me (not including bmoc now) so you prob have about 105 names or so in front of you. it all depends if they combined the 92 they skipped over, its hard to say until they make that decision.
has anyone confirmed what is the highest list number ( From the new list) currently in BMOC? I know someone in the 230's off the new list but he is not in bmoc because according to the old list he was 400 range.
Oh boy My friend ( not me ) Is low 230's over 10 yrs of seniority, medals out the ying has the college but according to the original list he was a raw score of 73. New list with all his medals and time bumped him up to 230 range. Any word on whats going to happen to guys like him
SOOooooOOOoooo .......... for the 5 year wonders who are eligible as of 7/1/09....if their list number has been called before 6/30/2009.......... AND........ their score is a 76.36 and up, they will go into the July 2009 BMOC class.
If the list number is called before 6/30/09, AND their score is 76 and below, then the chances are they will be in the class that follows the 7/2009 class.
The 1st 51 people from the 7/1/09 class will score from 79.134 (List #306) to 91.227 (List #7) should line up with the 1st class in July 2009 BMOC (thats if they take 51)
This is true if and only if they have been passed over which is highly likely by July 09.
okay My friend has a list number confirmed off the new list of very low 230's he has the credits and everything he needs what is up with his promotion. If 260 is in BMOC now is he just screwed to wait until next time.
you have to realize now that who ever is in BMOC with 200 and something list number is because DCAS screwed up...Those who are in there obviously will complete the course but they cant graduate with everyone until the department gets to their number...so they will keep them in EMD until they get to there number...forget about the old list because it doesnt matter anymore...anyone now who is in the 200 hundreds does not belong in the first class with the new list...Im in the 150's and i would not have made the first class with the new list...There are atleast 20 something people with higher list numbers than mine in bmoc now and atleast 30 people with lower list numbers than mine who are not in bmoc...they get first dibs...I think after the second class everything should be in order....
my list # is in the low 130s and there is about 46 ppl currenty in bmoc with me with a higher list #. so chances r there r prob. 50 ppl in bmoc ahead of u.
