Dredful wait but when your super close. Best not to think about it or even check on here often. Just be pleasently surprised when it happens. Everyone will eventually be made with the extra year extention.

From what I was told all these numbers we are hearing for all ranks including captains are not next promo. They had a meeting and these numbers were all total projected numbers for promos from July 30- Jan 1. Which makes a lot more sense because for example the sgts numbers were somewhere around 400 and the LTs numbers were about 107. Personally That clearly to me isnt going to be next class or even the next 2. Similar to captains. They did 8 promos to Captain total in the last 3 months they aren't going to do 50 next month. And if they do there wont be any promos for the rest of the year. I hope I am wrong but Im pretty sure Im not.

May be right. I actually heard it was for next two promos. But that cause also mean only two promos left for the year. Next week should reveal some more

Just glancing at the promotion dates for those remaining on the list. I see a 1999, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, etc. Not many are doing 25 years nowadays, not sure the willingness of some of those LTs to get promoted considering theyll have 17 + years on the job and 5 + in rank. Not saying it cant happen, its just something interesting to watch play out.

Only 69 people remaining on the Captain's list (not including the passovers). My guess would be that by this time next year that list MAY expire, which means an exam should be in the works sooner rather than later (no intel here, just pure speculation).
