Ad per DCAS certifications desk, the Sgt list is extended a year due to pandemic. That's as far and all I CAN say as I called and spoke with dcas direct.

The finest came down. The academy personnel are going back next week effective 0001 hours Tuesday October 27, 2020. Hearing the class is between 700-800 recruits.

Ive said it a bunch of times. No recruit classes = no promotions. The same thing happened like 10 years ago with the other economic crash so this academy class is a good sign for future promotions.

Well the other day when I posted DCAS certified up to 2682 I was told that do not mean anything. Apparently, things will start to pick up soon. I always say some news is better then no news.

Class of 900 recruits, Nov 2. There is a possibility of them going to squads (Squads 1,2,3) as opposed to Mon - Fri.

Nothing so far on BMOC.

Don't expect a BMOC until at least January, if one happens before that, we shall see.

More transfers came down today in preparation for the new academy class which starts on Monday.

Maybe.... they won't wait til January to start promotions.

It came down in the orders yesterday that they sent all the academy instructors back to patrol commands. So I doubt there will be an academy class anymore.

Its a personnel order that was just catching up to an old finest. A new finest brought the instructors back for 900 person recruit class

Oh, ok. I just saw that their temporary assignment was extended until January 8, 2021. My fault then. What day are the recruits officially suppose to go in?

Lets pray for a January class. I keep looking for posts from truthseeker and iamthelaw, and couple others. 5months no class sucks bad.

Nothing to report. W the way things are running its probably going to be a decision to run a bmoc class one week prior to start. Friend of mine was telling me bmoc portions getting cut across board number of days wise. So theoretically could allow for more classes

hopefully them deciding on cutting down bmoc means that they at least are starting to plan some in the near future.... i wonder what vacancies are at now with the new dept headcount... thank you for everything you do truthseeker

Per my academy person.....The promotion personnel are teaching recruits. Also heard another academy class may be going in after this recruit class.

But for now...they need to wrap that up and add more academy personnel so BMOC can start. But still hearing January as possible start. Hopefully, that do not change.

Dahomeless you are correct. However thats not whats preventing a class. If job wanted/had money to promote then the instructors would be reassigned. Hopefully hear in December

When you say atleast Jan you mean the earliest promo will be Jan, and to rule out Nov and Dec?

Yes I was told minimum of January. I can definitely tell you no class is being planned currently. But as I said doesnt meant they cant say yes to a class for next week like academy recruits did. Its all about the right person pushing for it

thanks truth.. i would figure sgt vacancies have to be hurting more so than other ranks. hopefully they are not far behind

There has to be a SGT BMOC soon, my command alone will have 5 empty spots by at least January with no replacements.
