Bottom line is the content though, one point of the e-mail was saying no promos until further
Yea I wouldnt put too much into that email. This job has always been no promos until further notice. Even without all this stuff going on, it has always been did the finest come down?. Its also why we are all on this forum. This job never announced promos ahead of time. Sure they give promo dates, but a class was never 100% confirmed until a finest came down.

The email that's circulating stemmed from a conference call with the PC. Things are so bad current white shields in the bureau will not get promoted after completing 18 months. Theyll instead be promoted retroactively at some point. Just passing info along.

Part of me is wondering if this has to do with NYC asking for a bailout. Trying to show that we are in dire straights.
I called the promotional unit and they told me there is nothing concrete where there will be no promotions in September. They also told me to get off of Rising Star because it will make you want to slit your wrists.

Never thought I would see the day when I would agree with the nutjob narco...but he' probably right. I dont see the list going pass 1000 and no way in hell will the city extend the promotional lists. Another exam equals more money/exam fees for the city.
