Had to start a new thread because people Insist on talking about contract stuff please lets only talk about promotion dates and rumors of future classes
Nothing to do with this chat but just want to let the forceless know that being a Lt in a **** hole borough in a **** hole command is the best bc of peons like him following Lt directions. Hope he gets passed over, I always take care of my good Sgts with the exception of looser peon sgts like him
Rumor has it that leslie was exposed as the fraud they are during the last Lt bmoc class. Possibly that annoying person who asked all those questions all day long....can anyone confirm or deny?
No gossip on my end, but that seems in line with the current vacancies/terminal numbers combined with the upcoming additional vacancies that will be created by the captain's graduating this week. There will also surely be one more smaller captain's class by years end. Good chance we'll be in the in or close to the 200 range by then, which would be great movement for this list.

Is this mentoring confirmed to start December? If so when will the IO drop down and emails/finest to commands picked for it?
Also when is the next Lt bmoc supposed to start?

So based on this calculation and historical data, only people under list number 900 are relatively safe and possibly not get cut by the end of the 4 years mark? Also assuming by the time it gets to list number 900, there are about 40 - 80 people didn't get promoted due to various reasons such as retirements, SA promotions, lateral transferred to another Department, resignations and "jammed ups", ETC...
2018 = 200 (approximately) - last 6 months of the year only
2019 = 190 (approximately) - entire 12 months
2020 = 190 (approximately) - entire 12 months
2021 = 190 (approximately) - entire 12 months
2022 = 100 (approximately) - first 6 months of the year only
Total number of Sergeants getting promoted to Lieutenant within 4 years = 870 (approximately)
Anyone have any thoughts on the above predication?
Anyone knows the average number of promotion for Lieutenants in a year?
Probably 200-220. This year will approach 300 due to the number of vacancies that we started with.
The average is a bit lower at 180 to 200.
This is 100% correct. I believe the 5-year average before the 2017 exam was exactly 185. Probably a tad higher now, but 180-200 is accurate. The heavy promotions we saw as a result of "catching up" from the delay with the 2015 drama won't effect the overall average.
