I never heard of FOIL (other than tin foil) but I was reading the Lt exam thread and they were talking about submitting a FOIL to find out how many people took the exam and how many passed.
I was wondering if this has been done for our Sgt exam??
Some people posted about it a few threads back. They claimed they filed a FOIL but refused to show the email and a few people came back with different numbers, so take that for what it's worth
Can't answer that question as the person answering my foil request from dcas told me in sum and substance "you will know how many passed when the list is made" possible this other number was received from another source.
people were throwing that 1182 number around days after the exam finished. no one knows for sure. especially considering the fact that no one knows what questions, if any, are going to be thrown out and how many people who took the make up exam passed. that 1182 number isnt accurate.
This is an actual screenshot of the email. 03/24/2017. Key word "preliminary." 40 people sat for an alternate exam on 05/30/2017, along with other military makeups on numerous dates. People are still scheduled for the exam through the fall. Additioanly, as per a recent FOIL, nearly 3700 protests were submitted for our exam. Not able to get much else at this point in the game. DCAS probably doesn't have a date for when a list will be made public. IMO October or November.

Ok, thanks for that info. I actually sent a new Foil Request email out to DCAS. I'll let you guys know what response I get.
You cannot FOIL things that are being actively investigated or in court proceedings, in this case the 2016 Sgt exam does fall under that category so basically you are wasting your time trying to FOIL anything regarding the exam.

Idk why people continue to question the validity of these FOIL requests. This information isn't confidential. DCAS released it via a simple email nearly six months ago. Like I previously stated, there isn't much else to find out right now. The number is likely a little higher than 1182 due to makeup test takers but it shouldn't be drastically different due to the relatively low amount of make up testers.

I dont know if they are just tired of releasing the info or what, or if someone is possibly making these up. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Interesting. I can't speculate why they gave an answer months ago and now are saying it's unavailable. They may have decided not to release that info anymore. It was an authentic email and I believe it to be true. I would be shocked if the list comes out and it's anything less than 1182.

This is f#^* stupid. Doesnt take that long to grade a damn test. Its all scantron. Ita 7 months already. Damn if you didnt pass take the next one. Not that serious. People here come up with complete bs. False info. We need people with legit info like Brat.
If you went to the protest you know your score, if you protested you contributed to the delay... 3,700 protest for 3 city employees will take awhile don't care how you slice it.
