the people doing mentoring are going into bmoc may 8 and getting promoted June 9...

also on June 9 add captains will be promoted and go to bmoc after promotion so 2 groups one group pre promotion bmoc followed by a second grouonpost promotion bmoc .. has anyone else heard anything like this

That's what the dept is currently planning. The number I heard was 24 on June 9th including the 12 that have already started mentoring. Additionally, both groups will automatically go to step 2 reaching top pay in 2 years as oppose to 3.

I keep hearing both ways that the dept is short captains, then they are over in the captains rank. Guessing with the new system (quarterly promotions) they overpromoted at some point. Patrol i know is definitely short captains. Did they all flock to details?

 Yes, an email for mentors just went out with a promotion date of 7/28.

The list is done. There are remaining people due to education and carb. 17 will be promoted on 7/28... you prob won't see anybhiring until the new list

The last class of captains promoted started at pay step 2 and will hit top pay in only 2 years as opposed to 3. Was that only for individuals that were at top pay LT since top pay LT is more than captains step 1 or did everyone skip to step 2 for some reason?
