anything anyone says is pure speculation with regard to NYPD exams. prepare as best you can and hope for a good exam.

Certainly. He even said they could announce it whenever.

I just thought it was interesting that his GUESS was late summer/early fall. Which is really only a few months off from June, when a lot of people thought it would be.

At this point late summer early fall is mathematical guess. If they announced today we would already be at a june/july test.

When was the last time the NYPD gave a promotional exam in the summer? I don't ever remember one.

I dont think so. Theres another thread on this board where RS indicated the test would be announced in the next few weeks. If thats the case then the Key's timetable sounds the same as RS.

Just got an email from Mike, he is starting classes January and printing patrol guide... he is convinced for summer 2017....

This past August, DCAS released their exam schedule for the fiscal year. The fiscal year is July to July. They posted that they would have a lt exam. It could be no later than July.

I highly doubt they would have the test sometime past July. It's already been allotted money in the 2016 fiscal year.

I heard capt. V came back to the dept because he was asked to write the next lieutenant exam. Good luck everyone. Better study the Torah and the Quran just for safe major and not expect anything out of left field.

I dont think it means much. They postpone tests all the time, and that's even when an exam date had already been set.

When the rampant make up test cheating was finally called on, forcing the city to look at weekday exam dates!
