i heard that number 79 and 80 were promoted today, does that mean 73-78 were skipped over?

Yes. It is true 79 and 80 were promoted today.
No. 73-78 were not skipped.


79 and 80 had fitness points which were not originally counted, but added later which gave them lower list numbers making them eligible to be promoted today. Number 73 is still next person up. List "numbers" 79 and 80 no longer exists.
